Repacking a Remus Hypercone

Post by Mr Moofo »

I have taking the above off the Diavel, as the bike is too noisy with it, and runs badly. Hence I was going to repack as it it is shops few years old.
Both end cap rivets drill off - but will the end caps come off. No chance !
Any suggestions on how to remove the buggers?

They may have been sealed with some kind of RTV, seeing as it's a decent quality part.
Heat, and pull harder.

On the off chance you don’t know this, don’t use aluminium pop rivets on a steel silencer to rebuild. The steel will saw through the rivets in my experience.
