Ducati Hypermotard V2 - Non-Desmo!

Looks like ace fun, but one thing in the review caught my eye.
The new 2026 V2 890 engine isn't a desmo!

They stopped using belts when they introduced the V4 and now desmodromic valves!

It was in the Streetfighter first, I think all the V2 bikes have it now.

I don't there's a single sided swinging arm on any of the V2's now either.

Re: Ducati Hypermotard V2 - Non-Desmo!
It's a very very saucy looking motorbike. Watched the BikeWorld review the other week and it's a stunning thing, if only good for short blats about. Was thinking about the fact it's got original TL1000 power with a lot less weight in a SM style. Sounds awesome fun. Spendy for a fun only bike though.

10,000 rpm and variable inlet cam timing! From the photo it looks like double valve springs possibly different materials ( titanium?). Cross-over technology from racing still seems to have a place for bikes.
