Rode the GPz11 over to the GPz750 location to finish up the deal this afternoon. Done & dusted.

In the original FB ad it showed the key in the ignition, but it wasn't there when I looked at it last weekend. Seller said he'd look for it.
Showed up today & he'd forgotten to look for it.

Had ZRX11 & ZX11 keys in my pocket... no workee... bugger.

Walked over to the GPz11 & grabbed the key. *click* WooT!!!
So that's solved the first problem :)

Then headed over to AAA to see what the registration status was.... Tags are 25 years out of date. Turns out the guy the seller bought it from many years ago had Non-Op'd (I guess that's the same as SORN?) the bike so no back dues on the tags, but it does mean I have to deal with DMV to get a title & plate.

Seller also mentioned that the guy who paid a deposit on the ZX11-C last year & lives in Arizona has been telling him "I'll pick it up in two weeks" for at least 6 months. Seller may get the arse with him & offer it to me.. so I could end up going from one ZX11 to four, although no plans to keep the three C models.
And I'm having doubts about the '87 1000RX.
Going from 5 bikes to 10 seems a bit rash... altho many years ago I did buy 17 in an *all or nothing* deal because I wanted 3 of the 4 Kaw's (KZ1000 MkII, KZ650, KZ550)

So once I get the GPz750 home, running & registered/tagged I'll start a thread on that project.

Had to go to the DMV to sort the title for the GPz750 as they don't do what I need at AAA. Nice chap there handed me two forms to fill out & told me to come back to the counter.
I asked what I'd owe & he said that as the tags on it are dated July 14th, I'd have to pay two years tags...based on what I remember paying for it.
Me: Two years?
Him: Unless you come back on or after July 15th.... so I guess I'll be seeing you on July 15th?
Me: Yes you will :)

In other news, an '84 GPz900R appeared on FB Marketplace for about $2800. It needed the carbs fitted & the owner was in over his head. It sold in less than day... but not to me. Bugger.

and now an '84 GPz550 with a big bore kit & all the race gubbins has appeared, but a mate is grabbing that for pennies on the $. One owner from new, it's frigging spotless.

uh oh (part 6). Popular mod is to replace the wardrobe sized instrument panel with one from an LTD of about the same vintage.
