I like really the drive pickup/engagement from the Onyx. It's just some much nicer than a normal freehub.
The ones on the Curtis are over 5 years old and in that time have had annual/biannual bearings (depending one the winter riding) and one sprag so I'm not too upset about that.
The Nobl hubs, which are Onyx internals in a short-lived Nobl made hub lasted well apart from the spoke flanges going but one was done under warranty at about 4 years and 10 months and the other failed at probably 8 years so I had to pay for that one.
The Onyx on the Eeb I'm much less impressed with TBH and won't be doing that again on an Eeb, especially as it's their Enduro/DH/Eeb Hub. The i9 is what came on the bike.
I have a somewhat irrational dislike of Hope Components (apart from BB's). I've had too many sets of their brakes over the years that just seem to go off the boil despite servicing/bleeding regularly and just end up being naff.
