From the state of it I'd think it needs a lot more than correct tyre pressures! :D

Surveyor round for our house today, he was happy there's nothing untoward with our place. So that's at least a good start :)

Lets hope the survey on the place we're buying goes equally as well.

Finished off plasterboarding the off-shoot from one of the loft bedrooms, it has been awaiting a decision whether to double the size from 1.2 x 3.6m to 2.4 x 3.6m (minus a small vestibule) to use as a home office or keep it as a walk in wardrobe / dressing area. The latter option won the day as I recently moved my office into the smallest spare room. The other option was to increase the size to accommodate a third bathroom but there is currently no need.

It is now fully insulated, I used PU foaming glue to stick the boards to the party wall having scraped off loads of flaky paint, either caused by chimney ‘salts’ leaching through the wall following a leaking roof at some point, someone not being bothered enough to mist coat the walls when they were previously plastered, or a combination or both. Hopefully, having scraped, scrubbed and treated the wall with ‘salt neutraliser’ and lined with foil backed boards, I shouldn’t have any further issues

I’m hoping to get the ceiling and Velux window reveals skimmed tomorrow morning and then get the wall done in the afternoon.

Realised that my root canal has worked 🥳

Submitted myself to the dentist yesterday to sort my problematic sensitive tooth for the third time (so far, I've had the original 20+ year old filling drilled out and replaced; that filling drilled out and replaced with a biodentine filling; the biodentine topped with a filling - all to no avail, so this was the nuclear option).

Despite spending yesterday evening feeling like I'd been gently punched in the face, I've woken up this morning pain free, and more importantly, sensitivity free 🥳🥳🥳 Bring on the ice-cream 😎

Finished off fitting the outside shower tap for showering of the mucky puppy after his walks. Hot water for my benefit rather than the ginger fool, who will happily swim and roll in puddles in the coldest weather. Nearly thwarted by the recommended 'Whale' branded push fit connectors sliding off the copper pipe but easily solved with some compression fittings.

Trip to the barber's, in and out in ten minutes so none of docca's experience. A trip to Daughter 1 to drop off Easter eggs, then to James Shoes, a pair of 1880 chestnut brogues and a pair of 1880 tan brogue boots, all for £280 as they are seconds but you can't tell except for the punched holes in the tongues.

Doctor had recommended titrating down antidepressants over next 3 weeks and took an arm full of blood to see if my cholesterol is sufficiently low enough to stop the statins with him running every other blood test possible.

New jeans and t shirts from Levi before heading to Daughter 2 to drop off her easter egg and see if she wants to join me and her sister at a gig in the summer.

Busy day!

Yesterday I did a session in adaptive sport - it's really just physio with a different name at the mo! But we started with abdominal exercises  looks like I might get some tummy muscle by the time I leave!!

Made physio today a bit interesting as those muscles ached!

But now my legs ache too   so tomorrow will be gentle (only got the knee bendy machine in the morning then nothing till Tuesday)

BUT. the best thing - a friend came to visit on Wednesday and some more friends came this afternoon :) :). So I is a happy bunny cos I got to chat in english face to face with people two days out of three :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

AND I have Cadbury Creme Eggs :bblonde: :bblonde: My mate brought them out with her but I crashed the day before she arrived so didn't get to see her. She left them with a mate in resort but I managed to get him to drop them with the folks coming here today :) :) :)

Have the big cross stitch to start tomorrow (decided to start it on a day that I had all the time :) :) :) ) and then I have two more days to do it as well :) :) :)
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Gave up my membership a few years back. I always came out having spent far too much on stuff that was nice, but I didn't really need to buy and/or eat.

My bank has just put a feature in the app that totals the amount spent on any regular payment.

Bearing in mind I get most of my petrol there which probably accounts for a lot of it, since Nov ‘23 I’ve spent £4791.

I use roomies membership & she uses my Sam's Club membership, we get 5% back on gas which right now means about 30¢/gal cheaper. The memberships pay for themselves in gas savings.

Only $140 of yesterdays splurge was mine, roomie spent $90.. of which $36 was of case of some protein drink for her son. My main buy was diet Pepsi (4x 36 cans) which will last me ages.

Decided that the new trailer will annoy me as it's parked right outside the garage.
So decided to throw loads of Hammerite at the bugger :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Removed some tiles in the bathroom and put a new ceiling in with new down lights and a fan. Doesn't look much but I did it all on my own and now I'm utterly fucked, had to come to the pub to get over it.

Plastered a bit more of the loft bedroom, just got the patching up to do behind where the new, smaller, radiator goes.

I might take a rest from plastering tomorrow and crawl into the loft storage to insulated that, a job I've been putting off for longer than I can remember.

Currently sat awaiting the start of the big I'm at.

Murky dog walk this morning, trip to see the Inlaws and then a cycle to Firle and back in windy sunshine this afternoon.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."
