PANIC BUY!

Post by KungFooBob »

The wife has just been to TESCO's to fill up with diesel and the forecourt is closed, no fuel!

I've no idea if this is common, or just a problem at our local fuel station?

She ended up getting some after queuing at the local Jet garage for185p a litre!

Local big Tesco here was out of petrol by lunchtime today.

Sainsbury's were ok.

I filled the MoHo up at Tesco's on Sunday at 1.66, Monday morning it was 1.71, leaving work this afternoon and it was 1.77.

With the price jumping up like this then it's inevitable that people are going to try and fill the tank before it jumps up another 5p.

I put in nearly £115 on Sunday, that would have been over £120 maybe heading towards £125 today 😭

Diesel runs out round here, petrol seems to be okay, I think it's old people panic buying, speaking of which, I'll be making sure I've got enough petrol to get home when I go out on the bike at the weekend - which probably requires a lengthy explanation to make sense, but you aren't getting one from me.

On a positive note,if there's a upcoming diesel shortage there should be less camper vans clogging up the countryside for a few months

Apparently 5% of the gas stations in Oz are out of fuel. NZ is down to about 10 days supply. I guess closing their only refinery wasn't exactly a smart decision...

California has it's own special bullshit gas blend & as we're down to about 8 refineries (from 40), a lot of our fuel is now refined in S Korea... even if it's processed from US crude.

On the upside, Venezuelan crude is now being sold on the open market.

On the downside, at least 3 tankers full of diesel that were headed to Europe have now changed course in the Atlantic.

The price of oil has gone up for obvious reasons, so the UAE has made all electric car chargers free to use whilst this conflict is going on.

Smearing poo around your bum on bits of paper is a dirty habit, once you stop doing it you'll never go back to it, it's disgusting, if you don't have bidets then you can have a shattaf fitted so you can wash yourself properly with soap and water after pooing.
You'll thank me for this if you get one fitted, all our friends that visit have it done immediately when they go back to the UK.
