Re: The F350 Thread
Day 566:
Was sitting at the bar having a sherbert with a guy who owns a '97 7.3 OBS ford, Mentioned the non-op windshield washer & the problem of not being about to hit the washer tit in the cab while listening for the washer pump which is on the right side under the hood.
Mike: "Well lets go test it right now..."
So we head outside to test if the pump is actually working with me in the cab to push the tit & him listening for the pump with the hood open...
and..
The fucking thing works right off the bat.
Sorted.

Re: The F350 Thread
Found my trucks twin... it's a bit poorly. On the upside, mine just became rarer & thus more valuable.

Re: The F350 Thread
Drove the truck for the first time in about 2 months yesterday. It fired right up, however, later in day I pulled up at a red light & it died.
I put it in neutral & turned the key. It fired right up, no issues after that...

Re: The F350 Thread
It's the CPS, a $20 part that takes 5 minutes to change held in place by one 10mm bolt.
Except owing to the restricted range of motion & the non-union fracture of the wrist, I can't even get a fucking socket on the bolt. Three attempts totaling 30 fucking minutes & got nowhere.
It's going to royally boil my piss if I have to take it to the fucking dealer for this shit.

Re: The F350 Thread
I'm now thinking maybe the anti-theft doodad sneezed. I drove the truck today with zero issues.
& while I was out I dropped by the stealership to see how much they'd charge to swap out the CPS. That involves one electrical connector & a 10mm bolt...It takes maybe 5 minutes
Are you sitting down?
$181 labor.
