Went into a country pub for lunch. We’d been there years before and had a lovely Russian based meal so we were looking forward to something a bit different.

The menu was burgers or fish and chips!

In all the years of eating out I don’t think I’ve ever actually walked out of a place and we had a bit of a should we or shouldn’t we but we did this time. The waitress was very nice about it but it felt really weird.

Really odd absolutely being sure your leg is flat in the table then having it pointed out that the surgeon has lifted your foot up very high!! I could see where my leg actually was but it still felt like it was flat on the table 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice, had the left hip replaced 10 years ago, epidural in base of spin and lay there chatting with the anesthetist. They put a blanket up so i couldn't watch, knew when they were hacksawing through the leg bone though:P
I panicked about it last time and when they took the metal out because I was terrified of hearing too many noises!

But nothing was “that” bad, as you say, I knew when they were screwing the plate to the bone or “tapping” something into place

I did sort of half ask the anaesthetist if he’d take a photo after I heard the suction thingy going before they stitch it back together but he thought was I joking!! Probably best 🤣🤣🤣

Cut my lawns. I reseeded a lot of areas, and the seed has taken incredibly well, but i waited for it to grow quite a bit before cutting it. Cutting my lawns is painful for me these days, and i have to do it in stages, but I still love doing it. All the time i was out there I was thinking of summer drinks and BBQs. Summer coming!

She has been very interested in there every time I open the door, which is why I decided it needed a clear out tbf.

She wasn't very interested when I picked her up and put her in there mind. Though by then the little sod had legged it.

He proposed that as an alternative, never thought to combine the two 🤦‍♀️

Two Mothering Sunday Services. Have another adult for Baptism in two weeks. Another person for Confirmation as well in April. Two new people in church today who want to keep coming, so that is amazing. The daughter, a teenager, also wants to be Baptised. So there is a lot happening in the world of faith. Home to do have lunch and a short siesta nap. Cooked a cauliflower/potato dish for the evening meal and lots of bacon lardons to spice it up. A large glass of prosecco with the meal. Wife was happy, so that is all that matters. Renewed my RTTL subscription! Day of rest tomorrow, so will have the chance to do some shopping and taking daughter to an appointment.

At the weekend we did a 2nd viewing on the house we're trying to buy. Now we've got and accepted an offer on ours it made sense (as it was 3+ months ago) to re-view the house to check it's correct.

We took the BiL who's a builder to look it over and apart from a few niggles he's happy enough with it, but we'll leave the in depth stuff for the surveyor. We also took the boy so he could work out which room will be his bedroom.

Mrs Weeksy still loves the kitchen

The best part was, there wasn't a single reason we could come up with that we wouldn't be perfectly happy in it. Well, possibly the fact we need a shit tonne more furniture to fill it :D

The new cat is a proper hunter, she catches one or two mice etc every day (the AI cat flap is proving it's worth repeatedly, stopping her bringing them in) so if that had been the case, I'm confident the mouse wouldn't last long 😆

Thames Water did that once in my gaff, leaving a family of rats with no option but to move in to Chez Gremlin. :o

Once they'd moved through the stud walls into the garage it didn't long to poison the feckers, but they got their own back by crawling under the living room floor to die and stinking the house out for a week and then sending swarms of bluebottles as a final :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Still suffering from man flu, which as you know is somewhere between child birth & having a limb amputated with a butter knife.

We had rats in the loft at our old place courtesy of the water board doing some work nearby.

Luckily it appears they were only passing through looking for food, given the lack of smell and flies, but the pest control bloke warned us of exactly your scenario. 🤢
