Aye. I've replaced them once already, but one of them was slightly bent in fitting it two years ago. So need to just replace that one.

All in all, it is a straight forward enough job. I have several E10 safe O rings as back up spares.

Don't waste your time on anything from eBay, Amazon, temu, etc. It's all junk that won't be bright enough and won't last long.

Find some used OEM off a later model, they'll be much better quality. You may have to change the plugs but it'll be worth it.

I've had success buying used take-off tail tidies, they can be cheaper than just the indicators.

Quick release fuel connector and fuel proof Teflon tape arrived before the weekend. I've put it all back together and placed the fuel tank back into the bike and connected it up. Also replaced the O rings with new ones, may as well. No leaks and the bike fires straight up. I've also cleared the ECU of faults with my TuneECU software that I bought a few years ago, even upgraded it to the latest version with no issues! Please with myself. Now all I need to do is build the bike body work back up, but I'm waiting for the indicators to arrive. No rush, and the "low fuel" light is on. I'll probably fill the 5l fuel container up and put that into the bike. Not quite enough to get to the station from what I can tell as it is coughing and spluttering already and the station is a mile away and I don't like pushing up hill. Nice to have it sorted and getting it all ready for Spring!

Bike back together. Oil and filter changed (Castrol and K&N).

I need a replacement speedo drive… cable and clocks are fine. Bother.

If you didn't already: Make double sure that the cable is fine by pulling the cable out the sleeve. Sometimes they break half way up and it still has enough drag to look like it works by turning at each end.

New cable. Speedo moves when cable turned and the speedo drive is stuck. Had forks sorted a little while back, so possible misalignment issue killed it.

Bought a used replacement for £26 delivered.

Oh and I filled the bike with 99RON petrol as it rather likes it and the tank is safe from the dreaded E10 content. Yes, it is pricey, but I don't do huge mileage, so worth the money.

I've always used super ever since I got the 690 with its plastic tank. When I got the Suzuki I just stuck with it as like you I don't do huge mileages and from experience in the car super tends to net more miles as well. Plus hopefully less ethanol built up when I store the bike for winter.

Having said that I saw a youtube channel the other day testing different super brands and he'd seen previous brands which has stuck to 0% ethanol move to 2.5% since the US bio fuel deal :thumbdown:

Speedo drive has arrived. Not had time to fit it yet. Took the bike to the hospital and back. Smooth and running well, have a GPS app on the phone for speed. Cleaned and oiled the chain, oil and filter service makes a difference after all!

Resistors fitted to the bikes wiring (rear lights only) and all the indicators now work perfectly. Very pleased as the LED's are more noticeable and they look neater and modernise the look of the bike a touch. Still a "classic" Speed Triple, but just a bit neater.

Speedo drive is next once I get the time.

Speedo drive replaced and now working again. Coolant changed and bike runs nice and cool. Will check it again. Put a puppy pad under the bike to check for leaks overnight (useful things those).

Gave it a quick polish, should refit the fly screen as it really does make a difference on the motorways.

Edit: Flyscreen now fitted! 5 mins job and worth it.

The second one is a good one!! Mine is heard throughout Northfleet and surrounding areas... that TOR exhaust is lovely.

I had a TOR exhaust on my 955i Tiger, they definitely make a lovely sound, not quite as nice as the Blue Flame with both baffles out on my Daytona 955i which was awesome :D but still lovely :thumbup:

I was looking for a Blue Flame exhaust for my Sprint RS when I had that, but could never afford it then. Had a nice Scorpion can instead.

I had a Quill can on my 955i Speed Triple, pretty quiet at low revs but made a lovely growl at higher revs. I think I've still got it in the garage somewhere.

Obligatory shot of the bike with my church in the background after a ride to Paddock Wood for Diocesan Synod. Beautiful cool day for a ride and the bike was flawless in performance. The changed speed drive is remarkably accurate, with cable driven speedo at 70mph being just about spot on with the GPS reading as well.

The speedometer should usually over-read by a few percent. Have you got a 120/60-17 on the bike when it's expecting a 120/70?
Or could the speedometer drive unit be from a bike which came with a different size tyre?
It's nothing to worry about as long as it's not reading under, but might be interesting to figure out.
