2026 F1...
Re: 2026 F1...
My take.
Mercedes have the best package.
If the Mercedes engine is good, then Williams and Alpine have work to do.
McClaren are slower than the Ferraris, as I assume that Piastri was low on fuel to give the local media a news item to keep the Middle East off top billing.
The Audi team have done a good job, having built their first F1 engine and showing up the mid order teams.
The new Brit/Swede/Indian fella isn’t too shabby at all. I’m well impressed.
Adrian Newey strolled of and was overheard to be humming his favourite Beach Boys tune.

Re: 2026 F1...
Well thats what happens when Adrian doesn't have a manager to rein him in and he asks Honda for a two tier battery with not much notice, that and Honda's Martini maker .......sorry engine.

Re: 2026 F1...
Qualifying:
Stroll and Sainz never made it out of the garage.
Verstappen crashes immediately (Computer locked his rear wheels)
Bortoleto stops on pit entry.
Cadillac miles behind every other car on the field.
Antonelli left the pit with the cooling fans still on the car, one of which was run over by Norris.
Aston Martin cars about to explode.
I’m afraid to see what kind of shitshow tonight’s race is going to be..

Re: 2026 F1...
Talk at the front is by how much will Mercedes win by, and the talk at the back should be around just how good the Aston could be.
Considering how much running their car has done and the issues they have with both the motor and batteries, they weren't that far short of the Alpine and Williams, who both have what is regarded to be the best engine (at the moment)

If you mean Lazenby? (Evey channel/service has it's own pundits so you're going to have to be a little more informative, and no I'm not giong to open any Shitter links.), Then yes, he's a blithering idiot. The other 2 non-experienced pundits are frequently shown up by the experienced racers (Chandok, Button, etc) when they ask stupid questions. It's all grist for the mill.ZRX61 wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 5:00 am Only available here on Apple TV, signed up for a free week. Dear god those two tarts & that blithering fucking idiot bloke host are annoying bastards. I guess I'll kill it after the free week... if I make it that long.
First race was interesting tbh, some close racing at the start, and once the other teams get their heads around the new style, it'll get better I think.

Re: 2026 F1...
The bloke is apparently the son of of a former F1 racer, but I forget his name. The roving track-side reporter bloke is JP Montoya, at least he has a clueRockburner wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:22 am If you mean Lazenby? Re: 2026 F1...
Ah, like I say - different channels have different pundits. We watch via Sky, so we get Simon Lazenby (idiot), 2 female pundits (Natalie Pinkham abd Rachel Brooks), Bernie Collins (ex Aston Martin strategist), and regular pundit appearances from: Jenson Button (ex-F1, WC), Karun Chandok (ex F1), Martin Brundle (ex F1, also does the race commentary), Anthony Davidson (ex F1), Jamie Chadwick (ex W-Series), Nico Rosberg (ex F1 WC), Naomie Schiff (ex W-series), Jacques Villenueve (ex F1), and a few others, including Danica Patrick on occasion/
With the exception of Ted Kravitz (who does the pit-lane commentary and actually seems to listen to people), the civilians are muppets, but the ex-talent all know what they're talking about. (Rosberg comes across as a bit of a twat though)
