Errr yes but ... the bottled version has been produced at the Burton-upon-Trent site since 2013.
Like most big-brand beers these days.

I went to my local supermarket a few weeks ago and whilst there thought I'd get a couple of bottles of lager as we had friends round and I'd forgotten to order a keg. I made it a mission to find a 'foreign lager' that wasn't brewed under licence in the UK. It was a struggle which involved me trying to read the small print on the side whilst squinting and tryin g to find the right light, but in the end I think I came out with some bottles of Spaten (Germany) Peroni (Italy) and Malaga (Spain). Pretty poor, really, out of a huge section of lagers, but then the UK's duty rates means that the recipe has to be 'watered down' in terms of strength to be economically viable over here.

I'll stick to PerfectDraft as they have imported stuff: https://www.perfectdraft.com/en-gb/perf ... draft-kegs

My go to non-uk brewed lager (available in most supermarkets) is Estrella Galicia.

I like 19 Crimes red wine.

But, since being on limited alcohol (4 units per week), I'm reluctant to pour half a bottle away.

So I was pleased to find it's available in cans :)

But WTF it's Spanish wine FFS!

I thought it was Aussie, hence the '19 crimes for deportation to Oz' malarkey.

I'm sure that whilst on my supermarket quest I saw that Asahi in cans is brewed and imported from Italy. By Peroni, IIRC.

It's just as taxing to get a decent British ale, but then my brewery of choice was bought / bailed out last month, so hopefully they'll have some stock in their online shop soon

Yup, bottle or wine box is Aus.

Tins not. And it's rough.

We have lots of beer brewed on the islands
Tropical is popular but it's a bit iffy.
Dorada Especial (black) is my fave but not available on draft.

Plenty in my beer fridge :obscene-birdiedoublered:

5.5% according to the blurb. That's about the sweet spot for a lager in terms of alcohol content, IMO.

The B-52s are one of my fave bands. Everyone remembers them for Love Shack, but I prefer tracks like 'Is that you Mo-Dean?' and 'Good Stuff'.

Like many other cities, the local/metro train lines have different names, some are just a letter. Some marketing genius has just come up with this slogan for the D Line...
