Re: RD350LC Anyone
Out of curiosity why not an import? Surely the Germans got the same bikes apart from clocks and headlamp.Mike1976 wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 11:16 pm Eww. Not in black....
(and not at that price for an import)
Re: RD350LC Anyone
Regards value, a German import just does not appeal to the collector. The "matching numbers" is also moot since those numbers do not belong to a UK bike!
Still a great bike but provenance is everything when it comes to value and while £8k is not an obscene amount for a clean 350LC, that's only because a good clean UK bike (matching numbers!) is dragging the value of these machines up.
..and it's black. Ugh. Any fule know the red/white LC was the fastest.

Re: RD350LC Anyone
I'm not into the matching numbers UK bike thing, they all left Japan the same (mostly) and no one would be able to tell my bike isn't a UK matching numbers unless they get down on their knees and read the frame number and then check it against records - and they won't be able to do that when I'm riding it around enjoying it.
£8k seems a bit much these days, nothing is selling very well and a lot of stuff is experiencing a downturn in price.
I've still got mine, it owes me £12k, but I'd expect half that now if I tried to sell it.

Re: RD350LC Anyone
I would love an LC. Back when I was younger maybe 30 years ago every night there was a bunch of us that would meet up in the town
centre and most of the bikes were two strokes. One guy had a 375 Stan Stevens tuned and that made the most amazing sound
when it got into the band, it used to send shivers up the back of my neck.
I remember some tricked out Air Cooled's , one 400 which had dream machine marlbough race paint and formula 3 All Speeds
and a nice little yellow 200 with microns. And there was a girl that had a pink and white Rd125 LC, all the guys were after her.
They were good times back then.

Re: RD350LC Anyone
I'd love either a 250,350LC or TDR250 but they're daft money so it's not going to happen & having a bunch of anoraks going over it looking for what's period correct/non original holds no appeal. One of my mates got a 250LC last year for about 4.5k & I'll have a ride on it in a few months when the sun's shining, but there's no way I'm parting with 4K+ when I look at what else is out there for less money..

Re: RD350LC Anyone
Prices of LCs (and most other 'classics') are well down from where they were a few years ago. I'd be very surprised to see that black 350LC make £8k, it looks at least £2k overvalued to me. Being a German import will affect the price somewhat, but the main thing folks look for is condition.
