The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Point of order! Tarantulas don't sting ya, dey bite ya!
But they do inject venom - a bit like a bee sting to us hoomans - with their fangy bits. 🕷

True spiders have chelicerae, jaws that move sideways, so they don't bite, in the traditional sense, to inject their venom, they pinch.

I am a significant Pendulum fan. But this is unrelated.derek badger wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 9:02 amSunny wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 7:07 pmGrumpy did not get one - he had a massive half sleeve done last year though.derek badger wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 6:57 pm

Re: What have you done today thread?
Course we have proper cheese but the cheap craft slice on the bacon makes the taste. A nice bit brie would be crap. I would not make Macaroni Cheese with anything other than a nice cheddar as that is what makes the taste for me. The pretentious over priced cheese shop has a time and place but not when i want a cheese and bacon roll.

The prices on the restaurant side of the place are cheaper than McD's & the food is stupendous... and it's in Beverly Hills. Eaten there quite often when I'm in the area.Felix wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 12:55 am The pretentious over priced cheese shop has a time and place but not when i want a cheese and bacon roll.
The correct wine to pair with a bacon sarnie is Chablis.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to Machine Mart and bought a 27 mm socket and a Rubber Hammr.
Was going to go for a short spin but it was too cold.
Adjusted the chain on the NC - Not entirely sure the rear wheel is complexly straight so I’ll have another go at the weekend but I’ve no time left the rest of this week,
I think this non DID chain is on its way out anyway.

Got my new ears today!
Jesus christ, my keyboard is loud!
The door hinges on the SBH need lubing.
The keys on the fob for the SBH rattle too much
Diagnosed three engine maladies walking across a parking lot.. altho tbf, one was making so much noise Helen Keller could have told you what the problem was.

I’ve never been one to complain about the heat. I’m still not complaining as it’s only temporary, even so, with the aircon on full chat it 31 inside.
I bet it’ll be well over 60 in the Tin Shed ‘o Shite.

I envy you. I'd much rather turn on the air conditioning than the central heating!
