Booked 3 nights at a Campsite.
It was dire, so moved on elsewhere, but left a review., and for whatever reason, the images here are in reverse order !!
When there was a reply to my post, I looked up the owner of the site, then this chap who thought the site was fantastic and I was a shit. Bingo. Girlfriend and Boyfriend. She has since edited all of the positive reviews, and now the newest one is over 11 years old.

My new job. The people are keen and intelligent, and in distinct contrast to the last place their delivery quality is high. I can feel my work mojo returning every day. Thank fuck. I hadn't realised quite how much the last place had crushed my spirit.

I made a snow angel :bblonde: :bblonde: Lopsided as is the norm now!!  :bblonde: :bblonde:

Should have done it yesterday when the snow was cold and fresh and fluffy, but hey - it warmed up overnight and probably rained a bit, so the snow is a bit solid and stodgy!! But still - managed it (had to make the right wing a bit more visible after I stood up, snow too heavy for my spazzy arm to move it!!!

But still - Snow Angel, lopsided!!!!

Every time I peel and eat an orange I remember my Mum. She liked to get all the pith off and had a knack for it - she didn't spend a lot of time on it but oranges and satsumas were peeled to perfection. She also managed to get every bit of meat off a chicken leg. Skills.

I got a tip today :bblonde: :bblonde:

Shouldn't be surprising, but, whilst I got tips on most transfers in a minibus and slightly less in the Sprinter - but in a coach, until today, Zero :(. You go from driving 8 or 19 people to up to 57 people and suddenly, not tips and barely a thank you!!

Soooo - a 10€ tip was a lovely surprise (would be freaking awesome if one day all the passengers, or even only half, did the same)!!!!

Today I found an old file on my hard drive that I thought had been lost for over 20 years. Back in the late 90s I used to take an evening class for vocational photographers, mainly teaching them to use a darkroom, develop films and make prints from their negatives. To save the endless repeated questions, I constructed a 'Processing the Negative' Word doc for the students to follow.

I'd been trying to find a copy of this for years but assumed it had fallen into the black hole reserved for such items. Imagine my surprise whern I chanced upon a 'Negproc.doc' document on my hard drive, opened it and found it was my long-lost document!

This has really made my day... :D

yes, you saw that right, 12:45 on a bluebird day and there's no queues for the lift !!! (Americans would never believe this, they queue for hours on the shittiest grey days)

We did have this week off with guests coming next weekend.... but then they cancelled :bblonde:

I remember when i was a kid going on coach trips with family or even to and from a wedding venue. Someone always went round with a hat for the driver. Dont know why they called it that as it was a whip round and chuck your coin in a Polly bag.

No one seems to do it these days, but generally I'm driving groups of people, not one group of people, so I guess organisation is different.

Mind you, the guy that gave me the tip on the first day said "I'm never sure if it's ok to tip the driver" !!  I just said, it's always appreciated as it's a sign that the driving was ok and that the driver is appreciated. I said, no one would be offended at being given beer money for the day off!!!!

We've done a few day trips on coaches whilst abroad. We often see the driver has a basket on the dash for tips.

I remember on coach trips as a kid, someone would always go up and down the bus passing a hat round.

TBH I am tempted to do similar to what a mate used to do in the chalet - he had a small tin or box labelled 'Tips - ski lessons please' or something like that!! Obviously, a bit different and he got to chat with people through a week, rather than have them sat behind him for 3 ish hours!! (and he was an awesome freestyle skier, so it was a smidge tongue in cheek!!)

Should have been on 2 wheels today but it was froszen & icy until early afternoon so instead I went for a walk.
Lovely crisp January day & despite me only going out in the afternoon the mud was still frozen.
