New Year's Resolutions?

Post by Count Steer »

Does anyone still make them?

Apparently 2 word ones like 'lose weight' or 'get fit' are pointless as there's no plan just a vague wish.

I usually just spare a thought for all those I've met through motorbiking and lost touch with. This year adding a hope that Mr Dazzle is OK, along with others that dropped out of circulation.

All the best for 2026.

My New Year's resolution is to stop making New Year's resolutions.

I have some health issues which I'm pretty resolved to help ease by losing weight and getting fit! That's not a new year thing though, its ongoing, slowly slowly...

Sorry to hear Dazzle hasn't surfaced anywhere?

I don't do resolutions, haven't for years. But I'm a grumpy sod sometimes, so I'm ok with not joining in this stuff

Ride my motorcycles more... should be an easy one, I'd struggle to ride them less than 2025.

He had back surgery, it wasn't quite right, he had to go back for more treatment, then he stopped posting.

I like to assume whatever drugs they gave him made him realise how much time he was wasting here.

Notice I said anymore, that means I can replace an existing one with another so long as I stay at owning 5 motorcycles.

Nobody knows. As said, he had back surgery which seemed to work but they'd give him an infection in the process. Got blue-lit to the Radcliffe in Oxford and spent a fair while there being pumped full of antibiotics. Seemed to get over it. Back to posting for a while then just vanished. Never logged in since, not responding to DMs. No flounce or anything.

Given the shit he was getting from the extreme political posters when he was posting reasonably politely (if somewhat bantery), i reckon he just gave up on the forum to be frank.

I miss him. Can we have a collective resolution to bring him back?
