It's a poster for an event, it's cable-tied onto a signpost.
. .
But that's not the random bit.
Nope
It's the Brussel sprout in the tie ...

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Was a cold wet weekend and tourists were moaning on Facebook
Back to normal now
This was an hour ago and folk still playing and swimming
Still sunny and warm right now

Lamplighter at work. From 'The Pageant of London' pub. late 1940s/early 1950s. According to the caption there were still about 50,000 gas street lights in London at that time.

Buses in the 1950s were specially designed to fit under Beverley’s medieval North Bar Gate, East Yorkshire.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Postman Pat's van was based on the Lambretta Willam Furgonette mini van from the 1970s.
Designed in Italy and built for the French market.
Built from 1967-1972 this was the answer to small economical commuting in the French countryside.
This van is tiny, so smal it fit into the back of a Mercedes Spinter van.
10in wheels
125cc 2 stroke with 5.6 HP Air cooled.
Many upgraded to a 150cc or a 175cc using the larger barrel and piston.
4 speed, forward and back like a bike with the addition of reverse gear.
all steel body
separate chassis.
