Re: A right now thread
Just back from a day of Carol Services and Nativities in the Church and Church hall. Primary School in the church and nursery school in the hall. Well over 500 people here today to see their children act out the nativity story. Really beautiful. Knackered now! Children and parents are hard work! Now have to relax for 45 minutes and then out to a meeting in Strood and I'm definitely taking the car in this weather!! Grim and grey, wet and cold, windy and chilly. I'll be home for a late dinner, then up again for a nice Carol Service for my other primary school at 9.30am... and breathe!

Parked round the corner from Southend airport waiting to pick my son and his girlfriend up. Fortunately he got a 30 minute delay as I was late getting here as traffic is horrendous!

It's just started pissing down as we were about to head into town. Most bars are open air so folk will be dashing for shelter.
We've canned the idea and gonna fire up the BBQ/bonfire

Stick a fork in me, I’m done!
Roast beef, chicken, pigs in blankets, Yorkies, roasties, braised red cabbage, carrots, cauliflower & broccoli cheese, parsnips and gravy, washed down with a port aged Douro wine. I’ll need a rest before taking the dog out and attempting a wafer thin slice of chocolate Christmas pudding…
Merry Christmas one and all!
