There are some strange men in here!
That's something that needs some consideration on how and what and when.... but can't really do that until we have some dates to work with along with a house move.Couchy wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:38 amI agree, can the working for nothing and concentrate on making the pension work you’ve got the fundsweeksy wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:34 amOnly half right. There’s no point working for bugger all rewardCouchy wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:33 am
You’ve got this wrong, you don’t need an income with your pension pot and pay off. You just need to work the figures out. Start thinking like a retired person not an employee that needs a job![]()

I was thinking something like this, nice and simple. Then contact info, Instagram and Facebook info etc.
It won't give you any flexibility. Unless it's changed since I left the shifts aren't on a rota, what you sign up for is what you do, and it's usually the shit nobody else wants. I worked Saturday night, Sunday afternoon with a few random things in the week. The people that have been there years have got all the good shifts and pretty much work 9-5 Monday to Friday. In lockdown it wasn't a problem as there was nothing to do, once stuff started to open I found it quite restrictive, but I'd sold up and left the UK by the end of 2021.weeksy wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 8:18 am
It's looking likely that the Tesco/Waitrose/Something delivery guy will be the option, it's only something i'll need/want to do for a year and it'll give me the flexibility to be able to do the more fun stuff at the same time while topping up the final year of pension money etc

He's finding the fact its no longer his train set a little frustrating.
Try to forget about prostitutes for a bloody minute!
This won't be a forever thing, it'll be a short term thing for 12-24 months and if the hours don't work, i'd leave and find something else. Simple as that really. I'm fortunate in the context that i won't be eating beans on toast for my only meal per day if i don't work. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to have some more money for the nicer things in life and Ebikes and stuff. Some peoples bad hours for example are some peoples good hoursPirahna wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 10:56 amIt won't give you any flexibility. not really into dogs... or any other animals in truth... I know in many circles that's a weird thing to say, but i'm just not really a dog person.Wscad wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 4:31 pm Dog walking/dog sitting. Up here in bronteland I see a least 6 vans advertising dog walking services.
I know one guy who clears £100 quid a day cash in hand. Maybe something to think about. Up here plenty of moorland and you might the chance to bump into Kathy or heathcliffe whilst having a stroll
Keep to the road. Stay off the moor.Wscad wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 4:31 pm Up here plenty of moorland and you might the chance to bump into Kathy or heathcliffe whilst having a stroll
