We have a Pull n Bear over here so looked on the UK website for ideas. I instantly got upset but took me a while to realise why. Then it clicked

All the kids in this page look like drug dealers, wannabe gangsters or just plain thugs. And they're all wearing the sort of clothes that that these sort of folk wear..
And the folk in charge reckon the folk of today will be impressed by all this hard-man image.

Maybe I'm just getting old :(

Pop into your local Trendz, tell them KFB sent you. there's three or four on your island. Treat yourself to a nice Tommy Hilfiger jacket and get the wife a nice Desigual hand bag while you're there.
A young lad turned up on the Rykas FB group touting his brand. It was all black hoodies and balaclavas - basically, how to look like a bike thief - he got ripped. The average age of bikers in the UK in 2024 was 55.

It's the upper garment in what's commonly called a business suit.

Chipped a front tooth yesterday n a nut bar. I have the Dentist on Tuesday (prior booked checkup), hopefully it won't need any work bar smoothing off but I doubt it as its one of my root canal/rebuilt teeth so £££££££.

Last week I had a particular kind of nasty headache that I haven't had since I was a teenager. Real clamp around the back of the head and vision issues.

FFS, why is it always things coming back from your youth that you don't want, like headaches and spots and not the good things, like the ability to eat a load of shit and stay skinny or natural athleticism?

Fuck you, aging process.

As my wife (ever a beacon of light  ) so helpfully advised someone in their early 50s who was moaning about their ailments. 'Make the most of it, you'll never actually feel this 'good' again'.

The latest Russel T Davies sci fi nonsense on BBC. Drama is drams, but FFS, can we have a bit less woke peachery on telly and focus on how entertaining it is please?

Am I paying for this shit?

I flicked over whilst avoiding adverts on another channel, it looks to be typical low effort high cost C64 levels of CGI that we've come to expect of auntie beeb output

1. Please make an appointment within the next two weeks.

3. Please book an appointment as soon as possible.
Deja vu. Got a message on the app. Book another blood test within 2 weeks.

Go to book using the app. Only date offered is Saturday 20th. I know that for this particular test they need my claret in the morning, on a weekday because Saturday blood doesn't get to the lab until Monday and the delay buggers up the blood potassium measurement.

I guess they haven't got AI systems.

Truck was in for its inspection a couple of weeks ago. Clean bill of health. The brakes started making a noise last week. The Transport Manager is off so I tell his underling. Brakes are clearly on the way out. This morning I refused to drive it, so they asked me would I take it down to get brakes on it. Brakes are so fucked the garage won't let it go out of the yard without them being replaced. No discs within 40 miles. Back pads are gone too.

I've also kicked over a huge can or worms as the worn brakes should have been picked up by the inspection so there's a very pissed off service manager ready to kill dead things. Meanwhile I'm sitting her watching crap TV waiting for the discs to be fetched and fitted. Deep joy.

Mandatory e-learning

Shit-loads (25 modules) of it

But, luckily, there's a 'test only' option.

Well, if you have enough common sense to work things out, do we need to be tested?

Here's an example Q and answer:
Q. Under 'Prevent' duty, workers need to ...?

One of the options:
- Ignore their duty

This one is very insignificant.....

But why

Why do darts players look all mean and moody when they pose for photos. It's like they actually think they are big tough men. To me it's pathetic. You're here because you can throw hand held darts 12 feet. You're not hard 😂😂😂😂
