Got any Linux hints & tips ?
My main computer is 9 years old now, it still does pretty well because it was high spec when I built it but it is not Win 11 compatible.
I know there are workarounds so i can update it to Win 11 but I dont want to go down that route so this weekend I am putting in
2nd SSD which I will put Zorin18 on to use as my daily driver.
I will leave Win 10 on the other SSD and boot in to that to use software I cant run on Zorin
Has anyone got any useful hints & tips to make my transition over to Linux easier like settings or must have software ?

GTX 1070
Asus Z97M-PLUS

Mx500 1TB (Linux)

Oh, that's cruel.
Try Nano for editing files on the command line, far less complex than either of those. Less powerful for sure, but all you'll be doing is editing scripts, don't need anything complex for that.
Depending on what you're planning to do, you'll find something that will do the job, maybe in a different manner to windows software, but you should find something.
What are your regular tasks?

I'm a fan of a rolling distro update so run Solus Budgie. Can't see anything your hardware won't run
