Downdetector isn't reporting anything untoward with Cloudflare. What issues are you seeing Mr LB?
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

T'wass a brief hiccup, which returned a cloudflare error stating the revcounter server was down, followed by slow pages loads

Looks like a local issue. Cloudflare has no unresolved issues logged currently. There's a noticeable hesitation with page loads here but nothing very much.
