Pretty sure I've spoken to someone with a heated seat on a bike (ok, a CanAm - remembered it was a colleague) - he said that it made him need to stop for a pee far too often and was way too hot!! But he also said heated hand grips were too hot at over the first point, so maybe he's just weird - he does have a CanAm

That must be car specific. Heated seats in both our Mazdas heat the whole seat including the seat back. Works well when I have a bad back, which I do at the moment.

Don't think I'll bother. With the heated grips on aswel I think the Benelli charging system might be up against it. If i need to warm my arse then it's too cold to ride.

That must be car specific. Heated seats in both our Mazdas heat the whole seat including the seat back. Works well when I have a bad back, which I do at the moment.

TBF I do have suspicions about the electrics, well two little things that really don't affect day to day, so I wouldn't be overly surprised if it is a fault.

If I turn it down once heated, then the heat goes up into the back of the seat, but mostly just on the seat part if I leave it on full

Phone around, get a test rise on a BMW with one.

I rode one years ago, worked well. Heated waistcoat might be much cheaper than getting a seat rebuilt, but the seat would be less faff.

The only bike I've ridden with a heated seat was an early 00's BMW K1200GT (it also had heated grips and a power screen!).

My mate and I rode it (and a ZZR600) to the Nürburgring for a magazine article, swapping bikes at every fill up.

It's tipped it down all the way there and back.

The heated seat on the beemer was proper lush, no one wanted to ride the ZZR.

It keeps (quite a lot of) blood flowing through the groinal area a tad warmer. There's some big blood vessels in the area that's not exactly yer arse but is close to the seat.

My Burgy 650 has heated seat and grips. I've been very thankful for both whilst riding in cold weather. Makes a big difference to an ageing bod like mine.
