Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little

Something exceptionally insignificant (to everyone else) that really BMP is people choosing to ignore my first name and use the second (wrong) name

All my official documents have Smixxy as my first name - legally, this is correct

So WTF do some random people in offices see both my names and decide that Smixxy obviously isn't correct (despite being on the official documentation) and use the second name that I (now) realise I should have just left off when I did the deed poll?


Todays effort is the lab that did the blood test results. I log in to the site to download the results and see that it's in the name of ******* NOT Smixxy!

FFS - the nurse even input the Carte Vitale (health card) to her computer thingy and my CV only has Smixxy on it

I had to get the social worker at the rehab place to sort out getting my name right there, and I'm still in talks with the secretary for the surgeon to correct their records

If the pre-work paint was well-maintained (as the rest of the car) paintwork then, unless they highlighted any flaws before, that's what you have as the baseline for finish.

FWIW, the guy who changed my meters yesterday took pics of the gas fire and hob, before and after, to prove that nothing he had done had caused problems.

Did C&A man do that? Do you have any good, recent, pics of the car?

Paint work was fine. I have a pic of the dent which shows the paint was perfect. He didn't take any pics as far as I am aware. So I'd want the wing to match the rest of the car ie OE spec. This was taken end of Sep

My Step Mother has been in and out of Hospital 4 times in 2 weeks. Each time we've wondered WTF they've sent her out as she cant weight bear etc. Anyway, her Carer finds her on the floor the evening of the day she was sent home. 5 hour wait for an ambulance, as a pensioner laying on the floor in pain isn't high priority apparently.

I speak to yet another Doctor and ask him to understand she is completely out of character with her ramblings and if its not a UTI causing it, then its something else. Each time she has been discharged, her carers tell me her urine still stinks and she is never discharged with a course of antibiotics, but on monday she finally was given a course of them. However, she was still to weak to be discharged and as I said earlier collapsed. Doctor agrees she needs to go onto a ward and be placed under care of a geriatrics Doctor etc blah.

I get a call tonight to say a patient in her bay (bay is standard ward layout of 4 beds opposite each other) has tested positive for Covid and she has been exposed to this for over 2 days. They have swab tested her and they will get the results back within the next 3-5 days. WTF aren't they giving patients LFD tests on entry, or now they have a ward with an outbreak, why aren't they giving them straight away instead of waiting on a 3-5 day swab test result?? Doesn't seem a very efficient way to contain the virus?

I got mine within 30 minutes, but that was a lateral flow test. I dont understand, given how serious a break out of covid would be in a hospital, why they aren't doing lateral flow tests on everyone being admitted and especially now covid has been found on a general ward??

It's weird for sure, especially the 'on entry' test. The hospitals here had covid and non covid wards - however, I didn't have a test on arrival. They may have done a test with some of the blood they took before hand, but that isn't the same as it was three or four days before I was admitted!

In rehab when we had a case, the wing was locked down and the patients had regular tests, as did the staff

But I still thought it was weird that no one tested me on admittance to either hospital or rehab!


Hope your Step Mother gets proper treatment for what has made her worse, and really hope she doesn't get C19 xx

Very little boils my piss nowadays. Seeing real world issues everyday means my piss only boils for them and trying to sort their issues out. Mine are very small in comparison. That does not mean I have no value of my own issues, but perspective helps.

People who park on the "wrong" side of the street with their lights still on. Turn them off dumbo so we can see what is hiding behind your vehicle, small child, pram, pensioners, skateboarder etc, I don't want to miss my 50 point bonus because I could not target properly!

Pain is not insignificant. OK, thresholds vary from person to person, but if you're in pain that's all that matters.

It was pretty grim, then they injected cortisone and a long painkiller into the joint, that killed all pain for about 2 weeks, but when it returned - Jesus, it’s twice as bad as it was. Whatever they done, they upset something in there.

To top it all... in guarding my shoulder I have managed to tear a muscle (rhombus?) attached to my shoulder blade, and then making up for that I have pulled a muscle in my neck.
