Decided to get the Honda heated grips as they integrate with the TFT for control etc. £229 from Honda though, so before i went for it, I checked eBay and there is a brand new unused set from a dealer for £169. Added them to my watchlist to see if I got a discounted offer as the system often seems to generate that, if you add something to your watchlist. Sure enough, an offer of £139 came through and Coupert got me another £10 off. What a fecking result!

Nice, I was going to get the Honda ones fitted to my x-adv when it goes in for the first service.

you fitting yourself? or have a friendly dealer?

padgetts seem to be doing heated grips for £190 at the moment, but I'm not sure if they're all the same part numbers?

Actually, I'm going to look around as Laguna have them for £150

I'lll fit them myself. They just plug into the loom and are plug n play. Bigger headache is getting the panels off to get to the connectors, but shouldn't be too bad. Famous last words...

Booked into the Honda dealers on the 31st to see about an extended warranty claim on the TFT screen. I sure hope they honour it... :wtf:

Doesn't work. It's a touchscreen and it was working in some areas of the screen but not in others, but now, nothing! I can still change settings etc using the switchgear, but I like things that should work, to work, but not sure I like them £3.5Ks worth! :D

Have you got the same screen as my xadv? If so, I had no idea they were touchscreen? I need to try it.

On the NT1100 they have introduced a 10 year warranty on the TFT screens, as it is the same unit I would have thought it applies to the AT as well.

Makes me wonder will all these tft equipped bikes be worthless when they are out of warranty. £3500 is enough to write off a lot of bikes.

Its a good question! I know Honda and KTM have issues with cracked screens, not sure of the others, but HTF a small TFT is £3.5k is beyond me??

*edit* KTM price is £713.94.

Nope, folk will just replace the digitiser for 20 quid material costs + labour at the nearest phone repair shop.

Yes, I'm assuming its the same and they have extended the warranty on the AT ones too. At least I'm praying they have! :D

I took it into the ever helpful Belle Vue motors today. They took photos to accompany their report and have sent that to Honda and now I have to wait for Honda to say yay or nay? Whilst it was in the workshop they did the temp repair for the switchgear and have set the ball rolling for the replacement switchgear which is a recall. So fingers crossed Honda honour the warranty on the screen.

Good luck fella, and if they don't honour it then pop in with a small metal punch and helpfully Fubar all the TFT dashed bikes in the showroom
