Even better when you preset it in the morning or at the station to be warm and defrosted when you get in.KungFooBob wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 7:58 am As the temp has dropped, I've noticed something else about my leccy car.
It's not that the range has dropped, because it hasn't noticeably, but that the cabin warms up so quickly.
I guess in an Ice car you have to wait for the engine to warm up to work the heater matrix, which takes forever in a Derv
The leccy car is just like turning on a fan heater!
Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

My Ovlov had cabin preheating, so has the i4, but it warms up so quickly I don't need to use it, or if I do it's only for a minute rather than the ten mins the Ovlov needed.

You don't always have to wait for the engine to warm up, there are solutions on less cheap cars.KungFooBob wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 7:58 am As the temp has dropped, I've noticed something else about my leccy car.

I went to school with him but that was 25 years ago. I am friends with him on FB, but he hasn't made a public post since 2015.Noggin wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 3:48 pm @Count Steer @A_morti any news on the Dazzle ? Not sure if I missed an update? Hope he's ok

I'd never have an electric car, far too dangerous, too many fires, ice much safer.
That should do the trick.

Well he'll have got emails for PM notifications, so not much else we can do. Might not be health related on his part, might be a family thing etc. Fingers crossed he's okay though...

Hopefully, I found his knowledge on these things really valuable, he knew his stuff.Taipan wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 4:04 pmWell he'll have got emails for PM notifications, so not much else we can do. But there was also those (or one) who seemed to argue the toss with him just because they could despite the very obvious gulf in knowledge and experience with EV's. I'm wondering if he just got bored of it in the end? Always seems to be the same on forums I guess?

If it's a setting, he might not have it set either.

Or he's won the lotto and he's bought himself a proper car because he doesn't need to shill for EVs any more.KungFooBob wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 7:49 pm Maybe he's won the lotto and we're not fit to polish his Yangwang.

Reminds me (vaguely!) of the Johnny Cab in Total Recall.
