OK, not the worlds prettiest car, but I would imagine fairly rare, and made I smile.

I saw a Citroën DS Cabriolet yesterday, it was mint.

It's rare enough to see an old DS, but I'd never seen a rag top one before.

They are lovely looking and v stylish. (David Byrne has a DS ). It's really what I wanted when I bought a later variant, a CX but I needed a daily driver and covered a lot of miles pa.

One thing you need with either is a local garage that knows what they're doing with them (and I exclude most Citroën dealers from that. Their current mechanics will probably scratch their heads and do the *sucks teeth* thing when confronted with one). Nice to cruise around the boulevard but they're pretty gutless...there's an awful lot of empty space under that bonnet - and lots of hydraulics. Even the SM, with the 'Maserati' engine was a bit of a performance-wise.

There's one parked on the main street here. It's missing a wing and has at least 1 flat tyre !

They've replaced the wing. It still ha s a flat tyre though!

IT guys are here installing my new super pc. I really hope it’s been spec’ed properly and my super graphics card fits!!

Epic fail. New PC was under specc'ed and had a PSU that couldn't run the graphics card, and even if it could the loom wouldn't fit. Best bit is my old one died, so they've shut me down. I've been sent home as I cant do anything there but although I have a surface at home I cant remote in as my pc is broke.

Upgrading. Here at my hotel all the rooms are basic with tiny balcony.
So they offered me upgrade to rooftop suite. Huge balcony, great views and big kitchen diner. Beer fridge
Only 25€ night extra.

Someone posted on a local FB page at the weekend that they had sloes and mirabelles in their garden and did anyone want to get some.

I've been wanting to make sloe gin here forever and now I finally have a kitchen big enough to actually cook n stuff, I can make jam too

So off I went yesterday morning after the first school run. Sadly it rained the whole time we were picking fruit, but she did offer me a cup of tea when we quit - three mugs of tea later (and three hours ! ) I left to go back to work having collected enough sloes to make a lot of sloe gin, mirrabelles to make a load of jam, and made a new friend !! So rare I get to sit n chat with someone for long (in english!) and we laughed a lot

I have offered to make curtains for their place - mostly cos she wants to learn to sew - and she's helped me with the idea of learning to teach english as a foreign language (mostly cos driving isn't a job I can do full time for many years I suspect )

This does make me happy but kinda weirds me out a bit !! Never lived anywhere that had lizards running around (I guess that's what these are ?? ) - I see LOADS here. Not just at mine, but it's proper weird sitting on the sofa and seeing lizards peering in

I remember sitting in a bar* and having a gecko on the ceiling right over my head. When you got your eye in the bar had loads of them.
