Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
Bailed on so many films lately. They seem to be churning out so much crap for Netflix, Prime et al lately.
On the plus side I watched a brilliant Italian film in the week, The Children's Train (Il treno dei bambini). It's both funny and moving and has outstanding performances from some child actors, think Cinema Paradiso. I bet Korky (remember him?) would love it if he hasn't already seen it. It is of course better subtitled, than with dubbed english, if you can follow that, but there's no guns or green screen special f/x.

Went to see Weapons this afternoon - I can't say that I 'enjoyed' it as such but I'm definitely glad I saw it. If that makes sense.

Alien Earth.......bloody brilliant.
Perhaps I should elaborate.
The usual suspects, and some new additions. What makes it worse is you know how bad it's going to get more than the characters. In some cases I'm not sure who is worse, the xenoc's or the humans. Mild Blade Runner touch as well. Blinky the eye octopus is a clever little fucker. Guest star is a Young One. I had to google who it was.

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Currently loving Foundation on Apple tv.
If you had a thing for Dedra, Demerzel should be right up your street.
First couple of episodes are a bit average but it soon gets going.

Toscana. Basicallly a poor mans A Good Year. But I'd be hard pushed to chose between Marion Cotillard and Christiana Dell'Anna...

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
The film is about a chef turned death metal musician and he used those wheels for his sound deadening when practicing. Honest Guy!
Thinking about it, that may have been a better plot!
