Another Brit in the WSBK paddock?

Post by Bustaspoke »

Looks like Jake Dixon's heading to HRC in WSBK.I feel sorry for Marc VDS as they've stuck by him but I guess that's racing. https://bikesportnews.com/world-superbi ... -team-hrc/
No doubt there'll be a few British riders wondering how they could have got the gig..

He's a great rider but not going to MotoGP.
Might as well top up the pension fund.

Jake has winning speed on his day, but never seems consistent enough to turn that into championships. Time to stop chasing the dream and chase the money I guess.

I think he'll do ok in WSBK. The Moto2 championship is brutal. Fractions of a second off and a rider is in 20th. If Jake can hold his head up and still bag the odd podium in that class, then Superbikes will seem like a holiday. Fewer rounds every season will also be a welcome change for him.
