Re: Austrian MotoGP
On todays showing......nah!
Only chance he's got of being nearer the front is if Acosta goes full banzai on MM and takes out the first 4 rows!
I think he's just fulfilling his contractual duties for the rest of the season.

Re: Austrian MotoGP
He was ahead of his team-mate in Practice times... But neither of the Factory Aprilia riders exactly covered themselves in glory and were properly shown up by the satellite team riders...... wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:47 pm On todays showing......nah!

And his contract is for 2 years (2025 & 2026), remember....

Re: Austrian MotoGP
Nothing to prove for this year, hence my comment.
Not enough pre season, lost 10? race weekends already.
Hopefully the last few races of the season, we might see the real JM show his face

Re: Austrian MotoGP
I do sometimes wonder about the stuff the commentators come out with.
'MM is going to have to overcome a second row start if he wants to win'
FFS, he's put it on the podium from the 4th row.
He gave Bez a tow for the pole, which does bode well for the handling of the aprilia, just needs a few more gee-gees.
I wonder if Dorna will bring in a superpole style qualifying to knock the follow the leader nonsense on its head.

Re: Austrian MotoGP
Yeah, fairly dull. I was hoping David Alonso was going to get on terms with the front two in the Moto2 race with about 5 laps to go, then he crashed out and I lost interest.
Same with hoping that Bez could stay ahead of MM and when that didn't happen, hoping that Vermin could catch and pass MM. But he didn't.

Re: Austrian MotoGP
Moto3 was great. Moto2 less so, surprisingly this class seems to deliver very few good races. And I enjoyed the MotoGP. A MM victory doesn't come as a surprise but Bez gave him a run for his money and there was a proper hot dice for 3rd. Marc has certainly got his mojo back, though it must be a bit depressing for anyone contracted to Yamaha. Hope they're paying Fabio well.

I was bored senseless in the GP until the little battle, we definitely need battles.

Re: Austrian MotoGP
Once again Moto3 was the star of the show. Maybe racing ought to have a 300cc engine limit....

Re: Austrian MotoGP
I think it should be 125s, 250s and 500s, maybe an 80cc and a 350cc race as well so the spectators have plenty to watch.Skub wrote: Wed Aug 20, 2025 10:45 am Once again Moto3 was the star of the show. Maybe racing ought to have a 300cc engine limit....
