I've had my EV bang on a week now.
I've done 273 miles at 29kwh/100miles.
I've not paid a penny to charge it yet.
Did I mention it was really really fast?

Depends how far you need it to drive on a charge. The VW Buzz Cargo is really cheap on lease deals at the moment, from £200/month with a claimed 280 mile range, I don't like the looks though. Kia is about to launch a mid size electric cargo van, great spec and 250 mile range, price announced at £30K + VAT, looks interesting. Most of the others (Vito, Transit, Transporter etc) are expensive and have sup 200 mile range, which doesn't feel enough. Nissan Townstar is really cheap second hand, again range isn't brilliant though at 170 odd miles, pick up a 5 year old one for around £5K though.

Left my car with 80% charge and thought I’d check in on it to see how much it’s gone down. Parasitic draw my arse!

It's probably 65% now you've woken it up to check. Or it's on fire.

lol, there’s a 256 colour pallet for you to make your custom profile pic out of. Ergo, it’s not real or representing of the companies colour offerings. Try not to take Tesla too seriously as this is a company that offers fart noises as an indicator buzzer!Mr. Dazzle wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 12:58 pm Weird how the app shows the car in a colour Tesla never sold it in though![]()

I drove mine yesterday with the radio off, in sports mode for half an hour just taking in the composed acceleration and braking noises, they've done a good job of it. I don't know why all the reviews says it rubbish and turn it off.

Becoming more and more true, which is why they're getting overtaken by loads of other brands. Turns out joke features and promises about tech which never materialises will only carry a company for so long.

You know those birds who've had plastic surgery: fake tits, fake arse, fake lips, etc.KungFooBob wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:38 am I drove mine yesterday with the radio off, in sports mode for half an hour just taking in the composed acceleration and braking noises, they've done a good job of it. Fake. Maybe that's why.

When prices come down and charging infrastructure improves, I'd consider it. Today, not really. Too much humblebrag, not enough workhorse.

You're completely kidding yourself if you think a modern ICE vehicle is any more real.Saga Lout wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 12:10 pmYou know those birds who've had plastic surgery: fake tits, fake arse, fake lips, etc.KungFooBob wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:38 am I drove mine yesterday with the radio off, in sports mode for half an hour just taking in the composed acceleration and braking noises, they've done a good job of it. Do they have electronic, selectable, fake exhaust noise soundtracks in the cabin too? (I wouldn't be at all surprised if some do).Mr. Dazzle wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 12:43 pmYou're completely kidding yourself if you think a modern ICE vehicle is any more real.Saga Lout wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 12:10 pmYou know those birds who've had plastic surgery: fake tits, fake arse, fake lips, etc.KungFooBob wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:38 am I drove mine yesterday with the radio off, in sports mode for half an hour just taking in the composed acceleration and braking noises, they've done a good job of it. Yes. Loads of them also don't own up to the fact lots of the exhaust noise is fake.
I think it was the Renault Clio that you switch between loads of different vehicle sounds, including the Nissan GTR.

I think I'd rather go 'Brrrrrumbrrrrum!' in a car or 'Neeeeeowwww!' on a bike.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 1:03 pm Yes. Loads of them also don't own up to the fact lots of the exhaust noise is fake.

That's very interesting about the Townstar. I'll need to change my van soon for reasons and won't need to fret about range as much.Zimbo wrote: Wed Aug 13, 2025 7:27 pmDepends how far you need it to drive on a charge.
