Well, Lens says it's a silver-washed fritillary.

However, it may have taken a bit of a shine to you. :D

'They are fast-flying butterflies, with males known for their powerful flight and looping courtship rituals, which involve showering the female with pheromones'

Been in my own little hell since Friday last. Post operative, almost hourly, renal colic since stone laser treatment and stent. Today I passed a small rockery of my own. Man did it hurt, but now I'm feeling a bit better.
Feel wrecked.

Did you keep them? Internal stones can have a strange beauty, there's some fantastic ones in the Surgeon's Halls in London. I suspect not if you passed them though

That's where your late grandma's tea strainer comes in useful. ;)

I did have quite a collection, but after nearly forty years of stone passing they have lost their charm. Smidge under 7 mms is my record. Damn near killed me and my left kidney.

In years past I've fished them out using various means. :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I "think" (although, not owning one, I'm not sure) that a Rabbit picking up spaghetti would depend on the depth of the bowl ??? :angelic-green: :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

That's the kind of beach I like - but I think if I was at a beach I'd want lots of sun and heat but also a sunshade !!!

Taken last Monday, it was 27C at just before 11. The locals made cunning use of the driftwood to construct shelters

That's about perfect - just need a book and a gurt container of drinking water and I could sit in the shade (with forays into the sea!) all day :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Guests have left. Very happy with their holiday.
Loved my dog Max and left me a €200 tip :banana-dance:

So it will be afternoon by the pool for me with beer, music and sushi 😎
