I was riding home in the sunshine the other day and stopped at a crossing. There was a group of around half a dozen kids, probably 11-12 with a football. With them was a smaller kid, maybe 5-6. I'm guessing the smaller kid was the younger brother of one of the older kids in the group who had to look after his younger brother during the holidays. As as they started to cross the road the elder kid unconsciously held out his hand and the younger one instinctively took it. Such a simple and caring gesture it actually made me smile.

Yep, we’ve just had fake Maccy’s while watching llamas, ostriches, donkeys and 2 highland cows all doing their thing. We’re in Derbyshire high peaks in the caravan, been sunny all week, bit overcast today so shopping in Buxton on the menu!
We’ve also got a visitor!

Think this was Tuesday but still makes me happy!!

Sitting part way up a mountain in a Sprinter eating a late lunch while some people went walking or climbing or something. Had a visitor! I swear she was licking my finger!! Very very pretty


Apparently she’s a Comma flutterby and a friend based near the Forest of Dean says they are not common so I was lucky to see one - but there were LOADS of them flying around so guess they are less rare up a mountain?
