When I was in hospital with my recent back issues the two guys either side of me had the same throat issues. I was in the Spinal & Neuroscience dept so it's not as random a ward pairing as it sounds.

One of them had suspected brain cancer, the other one was suspected to have some kind of auto immune disease.

So I'm preliminary putting my name down for some tools.

Up at the sparrows fart, walked the dog, picked 3lb of blackberries
Home, coffee, finished of the last 12m² of decking stain.
De-siliconed, then re-silicone bathroom sink, fitted a pelmet and roman blind.
25ft Up ladder to secure in wiring for the new kitchen lights fitted a week or so ago.
Productive day!

I spent about 5 hours at my mates cafe !!! Met a friend early on in the time but then he left and I sat reading and chilling and then a group I was hoping to see, as most are leaving tomorrow, arrived :) Lots more time and chat and then I'mve come home to cook the chicken I need to have ready for lunches this week !!

Also have a rum and ginger beer going on for the moment - not the huge size of the one yesterday, but quite tasty regardless :) :)

Rode back from my mums in Naaaridge - detour round long Stratton then back on the A 12
Really enjoyed myself -realised the Ali Express wind deflector was actually sending wind into my face once I’d removed it - got passed on the M11 by a chap on a R1 wearing tracky bottoms and a t shirt - one for the ATGATT thread…

Very hot today, so - pool, lunch, cycle to and back from the beach, then pool again.

Bits of an old fireplace from when we moved in 25 years ago, some Sussex Flint, some Lavarvikovite used in the Eastbourne sea defences (shipped from Norway Quarry), some Win Sill Dolerite (sort of half way between a granite and a basaltic magma), Vesicular Basalt from the Canary Islands, a bit of the Cornish Granite used for the Belle Toute lighthouse, some granite from the Shap Quarry near Tebay and rather a lot of rock “glue” supplied by the Telecoms department rock resin gun to hold it all together !

In the future a geologist will excavate that lot and have a fair bit of head-scratching to do.

Went swimming, went for late breakfast with some mates (who I went swimming with), cleared the spare rooms ready for incoming visitors next weekend.

Dusted off the KTM and took it out for a spin 😎

They’re actually great value - that black pair must be getting on for 14 or 15 years old. They just do not age/wear/fade!

Mostly cause opportunity for wear in the UK occurs 3 days a year.
