Remember his last foray into the world of inline four engined bikes?

Yup, gonna be interesting to see how this one pans out and will definitely add some extra spice into the mix- sounds like the PBM split wasn't completely amicable, Glenn has one or two wires off at the best of times IMO, so my guess is Scotty is now gonna have an especially massive target on his back

It's a shame that none of the Hondas seem to be quite on the pace so far this season , hopefully Thruxton will be a step forward for them, albeit it sounds like Tommy is still hobbling from his Brands off.

Both the Irwins are a brick or two short,as is their Da!

Reading between the lines of the stories on the link, there seemed a disagreement on how fit to ride GI is. He says he's ready to race (all racers say that) but PBM were of the opinion he wasn't fit to crash. The team will spin that as their duty of care to the rider and the rider will be thinking, the team want Redding and this is an excuse. Cue 'amicable' parting of the ways.

Pretty much how I read it going by PBM’s press release.

I think Glenn puts too much pressure on himself, I liken him to some of the best golfers who have never won a major but put similar pressure on themself to do so. Going by his social media posts there is no denying what his aspirations are and that he thinks he can achieve it but I personally think he’s not as good as he thinks he is, I can’t think of another rider at the moment who posts similar social media posts like he does.

I try to like him but after his shenanigans with regards to Tommy Bridewells race number I think he’s a bit of a melt.

On that note I hope Scott Redding beats him every race 👀🤣

There's a definite undercurrent in this latest interview. GI sounds 'hard done by'.

And whatever Glenn says about how mended he now is, he's yet to pass the fitness to ride test before they let him back out on track , albeit I'm guessing he's confident he'll pass.
The potentially slightly concerning bit would be how his newly screwed together pelvis will hold up in the event of an off, which of course at Thruxton, are almost always big ones.
Following recent media articles which refer to determining fitness to ride at BSB events, the promoter/organiser wish to clarify about the procedure and relevant regulations and responsibilities regarding this.

BSB events are organised under the authority and regulations of the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board (MCRCB). Included in this is the MCRCB Medical Code.

Fitness to Ride

Fitness to ride (at a BSB event) is judged at the sole discretion of the series/event Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

A rider returning to competition from a serious injury will often be asked to provide supporting evidence of medical notes, scans etc to assist the CMO in this process.

In the specific case of Glenn Irwin, who was injured in an accident on 21st June at Snetterton Circuit.

He is currently on the "unfit list", and will be required to present to the Chief Medical Officer at the Medical Centre at Thruxton Circuit for a "fitness to ride" assessment prior to free practice one on Friday 8th August.

In the BSB class this also applies to Tommy Bridewell and Charlie Nesbitt who were both declared unfit following accidents at Brands Hatch and are entered for Thruxton.

ENDS.

This all stems from his social media shenanigans 🤣 it’s blowing up over his statement and what he and PBM are saying. He’s a fucking fruit loop 🤣

Essentially him saying he’s been declared fit leading his followers to believe he’s good to go for this weekend when that’s not entirely true. The fit to ride press release is purely because of these social media posts.

His fans have went to town on PBM due to all of this as well, they feel he’s perfectly fit and good to go because of his social media posts and have went on the attack against PBM, death threats via email has been mentioned, apparently.

Here's what he posted on FB earlier (Glenn Irwin Racing)

A quick message from Nikki & I ( just a caption really )
It’s came to light that fans of the racing are clearly as we’ve seen throwing their opinions behind myself, the PBM team, Nitrous Competitions racing and Scott Redding.
I had a conversation with Jordan bird last night and it saddens me that people are sending death threats to her personal email, also being extremely derogatory towards her late dad Paul.
I want to stress, right now everyone has had an opinion, there’s been tit for tat arguments, but really this is just a rider and team separating, this isn’t the end of the world, it’s not a serious thing in the big picture of life.
Please fully respect all people involved. I had a great time at PBM, we all know that. Please please show everyone support not nastiness.
Glenn

Here's hoping all 3 riders pass their medicals & we get a good weekends racing

Maybe Glen should have got his clearance to ride before kicking off at the team. Just sayin ;)
