Understand that.

If you click attachments below your post when replying, try adding them there.
I'll happily increase the file size if needed for the trip duration but it's set at 5mb per pic currently.

Well, it's a tad laborious but here's a few to get started...

Looks shit!

Only joshing. I got the impression that early on you weren't enjoying it much, but you seem much happier now?

Does the route involve dipping your toes in the Black Sea at all?

More pics added, including a few that are totally irrelevant. When I work out how'I will delete them.

Had a day off today in Budapest playing at tourist. As usual I had a misshap, a day without CJ having a bit of an issue wouldn't be the same. Phone died. Dead! Battery totally flat. And I couldn't order an Uber to get me back to the hotel a few miles out of the city, nor could I remember the name of the hotel. And of course I couldn't ring the guide for help.

Long story short, big posh hotel (Hilton), walk in, explain my problem to the priority service desk and they charged my phone for me. Problem solved, thank you Hilton.

Budapest is aces. Did you see the shoes memorial on the bank of the Danube, got some grit in my eye at that one?

No, I missed that one. I did a big museum and learned a whole raft of history that UK education managed to ignore. And bought an electric plug adaptor that I left at the last hotel, this causing the phone issue.

Yes, got me a partial charge in the morning but wouldn't go above 65%. Phone and power pack now fully charged

Still alive but sat nav is fubar'd. Some bloody long days and I am knackered.
Tomorrow is 400+ kms with no motorways, and Friday is 500+ kms. Then 300 miles on Sat back to the Duchy.
I will address the pics issue when I get home.

When I went (FWIW) many years ago, I remember saying to the lads: "The highs will be very high and the lows very low". And so it was.

The highs have been stratospheric, but I think it is time I accepted that, at 79, I am too decrepit to do 6+ riding hour days back to back for 3 weeks.
I have enjoyed (most of) the riding, I have enjoyed the company and piss-taking, but with 3 long days to go I wish I could just be teleported home.
By next year I will remember the good bits and will have forgotten how knackered I felt.

Long days them, 200 miles is plenty with all the stops and fannying about. Good luck. 👍
