The cushion I 'designed' for my client to keep his pressure sore off the mattress. Not only does it work, the client likes it AND even his doctor was so impressed that he asked for details, he said he knew of several patients that could make use of the same or similar !!

I'm staggered no-one already made one, it's not complex, just a thick cushion with a cut out for his leg ???!

Most people don't look at how to assist/relieve - they just treat the issue; regardless that relief can often mean the need for treatment reduces.

But, I did 594 kms to a tank last time in my car. And when I topped up yesterday evening it took 46 litres.

So I think that is a smidge over 10 gallons ??

Which means that the car is doing approx 59kms to a gallon ??? Sounds a bit better than 36 mpg :( but still   I'm still pretty happy with that for a little 1.5 engine!!

And that includes going up and down the mountain every day which definitely challenges the consumption - I doubt that the gentle drive down (depending on how much of a hurry I'm in) will ever make up for the stick it gets going up cos I'm rarely thinking about fuel consumption when going home :angelic-green: :angelic-green:
I changed the counter to mpg cos, whilst I can do most metric stuff, I generally have no idea whether Kms/l is good or bad !!

Anyway - as an aside to the above,

I get anything from 12-18 mpg going up the mountain - 18 tonight with no lead foot overtakes and, whilst not majorly boy racer style, it was "progressive" !!

Going down I can get around 75mpg or more

Then there's the messing about around the valley in between shifts, haven't really kept an eye on that much, but when I drove to Albertville the other day (mostly motorway and I was going a bit quicker on that than I should -130kmph :angelic-green: - and some normal/swift A roads ) - it seemed to be around 60mpg for that journey.

So, whilst the overall 36mpg, over the last 3500kms, possibly isn't the greatest, I do spend around 1/3 to 1/2 the day going up or down the mountain. Once I've moved to the valley I should get much better returns - and spend a shitload less on fuel as should only have to drive a few kms in the valley :bblonde: :bblonde:

Riding back from Tamworth this afternoon, during rush hour, the generosity of car drivers was fantastic. I spent most of the time thanking people.

Quite uncanny - coming up the A5 towards Cannock it was like the parting of the Red Sea.

Go up to Courchevel 1850. Fill your tank. Reset your trip. Meter, drive steadily down to Moutiers. Fill up again. You should be good for well over 70 MPG!!

Yes the fuel in 1850 is vastly overpriced and it's not real MPG because you dropped a 1000 metres of altitude, but who needs facts 😂🤣😂

But - not a remotely comparable road to the one I have to use! I’d do way better than 20mpg going there too!

Coming down this morning the car said 82mpg when I got to work 😳😳😳. Didn’t know that was possible 🤣🤣🤣

Gremlinette started a new job in a restaurant yesterday, evening shift. Got a message last night saying she had really enjoyed it and wasn't as anxious as she thought she would be.

Said she had fun and the people were really nice. I really hope she has turned a corner.

My old hand-me-down Galaxy S10 was playing up, so I've inherited yet another hand-me-down Samsung A22 which took all morning to transfer over, but so far, so good.

I've also inherited a bright red, sci-fi-esque phone case for it that a 12 year-old would be proud of.

News anchors who mindlessly read the prompter without thinking about what they're saying...

We just had one here reporting on a small (18in or so) Hammerhead shark dropped by an Osprey onto a golf course near the coast. Report is accompanied by some bloke holding a very dead Hammerhead by the tail.

News anchor: "It's unknown if the shark survived..."

tbf, this particular plonker does this on a daily basis as least once. I think the people feeding the prompter set him up to look like a complete fucking idiot.

Making me happy and BMP

I received a bank transfer yester for £36 from L Charman for Theatre tickets.

I have no idea who L Charman is, nor do I know anything about theatre tickets.

But trying to even say that to the bank seems to be impossible.

I got some strangers salary paid into my account once.

(The bank sorted it pronto, but that was in the days when the branch was 5 minutes walk away :( ).

Surely fake. Tazors zap you with two pins, your body completes the circuit. Metal completes it a million times better than any body would, so all the juice would take the much easier 1 inch path between the two pins, not along the fence

It probably even has safety system to shut itself off if you taze something metal because much higher currents would flow.

Silly things make me smile.

I’m sat outside a boulangerie having a weird breakfast and coffee (mini quiche followed by a pain au raisin - I started work at 6:25 and was bloody starving when I got here!!)

Quietly chilling outside and this amazing noise pulled in.

Well ok, pretty lush car TBF but it did sound good.

Still not 100% sure what it was expect totally inappropriate for the roads around here 🤣🤣🤣. But I bet it feels great!!

And in the rear window he had a Goonies sticker 🤣🤣.

“Goonies Never Say Die “
