This is without question our BIGGEST EVER recovery. An incredible 25 bikes in one haul in a day…all because a customer’s R 1200 GS had a BikeTrac unit fitted to it and we were able to deploy our Radio Frequency technology to prove which container it was in. A big thanks to the Metropolitan Police Service Organised Vehicle Crime Unit for their support. Quite a day

The other yearI was talking to a Z900RS owner who told me that his bike had been stolen & recovered with a bunch of other bikes in a shipping container in Bradford,the container was due to be sent to Africa.
According to Biketracs post on FB this container was heading to Nigeria.

S'why certain bikes are cars are the "most stolen vehicle in England" or whatever. Range Rovers spring to mind. It's not 'cause they're especially easy to nick, it's cause that's what's in demand in Africa and Russia.

Quite high import duty on vehicles in some countries make them all more "valuable" new or old. Theres 16%vat + 25% customs duty + 20% excise duty to pay on importing a passenger vehicle to Zambia, soo adds up to £££
