road registering a bike

Post by ace llani »

Hi all.
Looking to buy an enduro bike to do a bit of occasional green lining.
bike for sale locally, WR450 yam, but has never been road registered.

is it easy, or a ball ache? what sort of cost involved?

thanks muchly.

I registered a second hand XR250 in 1998, back then you needed an MOT, proof of ownership and (if you didn't want a Q reg) proof of the vehicle's age.
Costs were a years tax, a registration fee, and you had to prove the VAT had been paid on the vehicle.

Given that there are plenty of WR450s already road registered, it would have to be cheap to make it worth buying.
