I had a bracing swim in the sea at Dawlish Warren. Then a really good pie in Dawlish followed by some ice cream. There were no traffic jams and no break downs so not really a proper English seaside day out.

Ah pap. That's never going to be fun.derek badger wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 7:04 pm Been and decommissioned another office we've closed. Said goodbye to a bunch of people being made redundant and collected their laptops and passes. Not a great day to be honest, having a beer now.
(I'm still traumatised about those HM chairs you told us about too

Sorry everyone, the wife bought a new BBQ. Every time she buys something like this or new garden furniture it pretty much guarantees a shit Summer.

It's dual fuel, I'm about to have my first proper charcoal BBQ in years... Unsung the gas to light it and get it going.
The old gas one kind of blew up when the seals on one of the burner valves decide to give up.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a great 4 hour enduro. First one in a month since day the floods came and I bust a rib in my side.
Was fitter than I imagined but still asked them for a gentle route. I had great time.
The floods changed a few paths and trails and some were just washed away.
And all the bouncing fixed my back. The pain has 90% gone and I feel great.
Gonna be doing a run every 2 or 3 days to build strength up.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Kempton Park Autojumble. First time I've been, and i suppose i shouldn't really have been surprised that the vast majority of the knackered bike bits on display were old Triumph bits.
I did find a J.A.P. head with the rocker box still attached, but it was in a worse state than mine, so I passed.
Some nice bikes on display, including a few J.A.P engined speedway machines which were useful to look at for reference when deciding on whether that head and rocker box were worthwhile or not.
Lovely weather, and we did manage to pick up a few useful odds and sods, so at least we didn't get home empty handed.

I've got a jolly nice suitcase BBQ that I'd pulled out to use, but she wasn't impressed.Taipan wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 9:18 pmLess is more!KungFooBob wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 5:05 pm Sorry everyone, the wife bought a new BBQ. Re: What have you done today thread?
Used ForScan for the first time ever to diagnose a faulty wheel speed sensor on the FocusOfDestiny (which caused the ABS and stability warning lights to intermittently appear and then disappear a month or so ago, while I was hoofing it up the M6 one night).
According to the internet it could have just been dirt affecting the sensor, as it's not happened since, but the FoD is soon to be gifted to my parents, so I want to sort any minor niggles.
One left rear wheel speed sensor is now about to be ordered.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went on recky with the Enfield in search of suitable towpaths for Lady Dodgy and the folding E bike's.
Went to Trevor, near Llangollen and its a nice conditioned, easy ride towpath into Llangollen. So one day's this week we'll try it.
As a bonus, I stopped at a pub with a view, lovely pint of Black sheep, so may call in there aswel. They said we may get thunderstorms, but still sunny and blue sky here atm. May the sunshine continue.
