Cat's named after famous people

Post by ZRX61 »

.. was a call-in CATegory on a local radio station this morning, it all started when someone mentioned their cat...

David Hasselfluff

Among them were Gary Pussy, Leonard deCatrio, Uma Purrman, Fluff Norris, Cindy Clawford, David Litterman, Steve Pusscemi & well known Catstronaut Fuzz Aldrin. There were dozens of others.

Our current four cats aren't named after anyone, however I do have a 2nd name, kind of a nick name for all of them.

Eddy - Steady
Morris - Maurice
Myrtle - Squirt
Dave - Rayvon

Popty and Ping.... (Pidgin Welsh for micro wave)....this as we asked the younger step daughter to name the new kittens when we left her and friends in the house and did a weekend away....

I named a pair of cats Jackson (Browne) and Fizzy, after my eldest brother's moped - she was black with white bits and a bright red 'tail light'.

I once had a cat called Yoshi, after Yoshimura, rather than Mario's dinosaur friend.

We had 2 pet hooded rats* my wife named Koss and Durfee.

There can't be many pets named after the authors of cytology reference books.

*'Rescue' rats. :D A bloke at work bred them to feed (live) to his snakes.

If I had cats, they'd be named:

Peter (Sutcliffe)
Fred (West)
Josef (Fritzel)

They're killers and tormentors!

We have a Bearded dragon that is constantly misgendered, we call it he but it presents as female.
It's name is now Eddie Lizzard.

Ahh, as you mentioned it was Lola, as from The Kinks song I always understood it that Lola was a transexual.
Just bear that in mind when you next hear the song, or read the lyrics...
Somehow I'd heard than song for years without really listening properly to the lyrics.
