When do I call the authorities to report this heinous intergalactic crime?
Why would you report it when the works not finished.

Neurologists have decided that the dog's Pituitary Gland is 'just a big one'😆 and not a tumour after all🥳

So it'll be checked again in three months just in case, but the working assumption is that he had a TIA (mini stroke), that caused a Vestibular episode (vomming, walking like he was drunk). And as he's showing signs of improvement, we're just to keep an eye on him.

Plus, he's got some bothersome discs in his spine, unrelated to the current problems, but found on his CT scan, so he's now on some anti-inflammatories for that too 👍

£8,500ish of vet bills later, I'm very glad he's still insured. And no longer mildly annoyed that he cost more than the car to insure this year 🤣

And VERY glad he doesn't appear to have a brain tumour after all. Dogs, eh.

Earlier this month the price of a MegaMillion lottery ticket went from $2 to $5... & they added a random multiplier (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x)

The prize for matching a Mega # on the $2 ticket was $2, so you broke even.

Now it's $5, plus whatever the multiplier is.
Tonight the Mega # was 10, which I had on both lines. One was 2x for $10 & the other was 5x for $25... So I spent $10 for two lines & won $35. In the old game I would have spent $4 & won $4.

Very gruntled & somewhat chuffed. :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

After many years in the Financial Services industry, jumping through various qualification hoops and exams, I have received confirmation this morning that I have passed a recent exam and I have achieved Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and can now be referred to as a:

Chartered Financial Planner

which puts me at the highest level of nationally recognised qualification putting me on a level platform with Chartered Accountants and Solicitors.

I may celebrate with a beer or two tonight! :obscene-drinkingcheers:

I mentioned earlier in the thread that after our dog died, I’d commissioned one of the bronze leaf things you can get permanently installed at the Eden project.

It’s now complete. They have just sent me this pic and will contact to arrange a viewing of the installation.

Was having a pleasant lunch in the sunshine at Famara today.
I heard a very distinctive noise then I looked up the road and saw the rectangular headlight. Bingo

YPVS350 full fairing :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Not seen one for donkey's years. My fellow lunchers were impressed I identified a bike from the noise.

Nearly 40 years since I raced mine :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Roomie recently bought herself some rather splendid Haagen Dazs lollipops (vanilla milk chocolate almond). She limits herself to one per day.

I bought an identical box & buried it under bags of frozen veg etc in another freezer. Every 2 or 3 days I add one from my box to hers. She hasn't realized yet. :shhh:

Not sure if this belongs here or in the BYP thread. It certainly amused 'er indoors.

Was just looking, in a rather distracted fashion, at a magazine. Saw a smallish image of a product and thought , 'Ooh, is that the same stuff they don't stock in my local supermarkets any more?'.....

...so I put 2 fingers on the image and tried to enlarge it.

The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

I do a lot of reading using an ereader (Sony, then Kobo). At least once I've swiped my finger across the page of a real book expecting it to turn the page. :?

Swipe with enough force and it'll work.
