Holiday suggestions for a retired couple

Dad likes F1 and messing around with cars, he can't swim.

Mum likes snorkeling and beaches

I'm trying to find something they'd both enjoy. I did mention a company doing packages to the F1 and then the Maldives. But dad said he has no interest in seeing F1 live!!??

I was going to suggest the F1 at Monaco as they could then move on to somewhere nice in the South of France for mum, but if he's not into actually watching the race you could tell him that you don't see much of it anyway lol

Attended an AMA Superbike race at Fontana, best view of the racing was on the tv in a vendors tent...

Yep, I was lucky enough to go to BSB at Mallory and Donnington with Honda hospitality. If you wanted to see the race, watch it on screen in the hospitality area!


To give some sort of an answer to Cousin Jack. Dad has a passing interest in most motrosport, but F1 is the one he makes sure to see. Techy? He's not interested in the ecu programming bit!!??
I think if he was given a week a workshop and a Caterham to put together, he'd have a great time?!

There you go then. Buy him a Caterham in bits, rent a workshop near a sunny beach, a decent hotel room nearby, and recoup some of the outlay by selling the Caterham when it is finished. Jobs a good 'un.
