Serendipity

Post by Nidge »

I had to take my Harley for it's MoT on Saturday (the only one of my bikes that still requires one). Chatting to the owner of my long term MoT bike shop I mentioned I'd just bough the Z650 and he said he had a box of various bits and bobs for one I could have, which included the carb rebuild kits I'd thought I'd have to source and buy (the Z was pissing fuel out of the overflows- pretty common with wear on the float needle valves). I'd only said to a mate that morning that years ago the local dealers would carry this sort of thing in stock but I'd now have to wait for an online supplier.... Best of all I removed, stripped, rebuilt and refitted the carbs Saturday afternoon and no more leaks
