Not to much boil my piss but annoying as i need to spend money after a what the fuck was that moment.

Driving into Edinburgh tonight and on the A1 doing about 75, what was slow in comparison to most of the traffic. Outside lane as a few 100 yards of inside is turning off on a slip road. Bang, Crash, wallop. WTF followed with some metallic noise on the N/S front. As i changed the shock and spring that side i am thinking what i could have done wrong. Car never dropped that side, Steering is fine and noise has stopped so just carried on. Got to my destination to find the inner wing liner had gone  How the fuck a dollop of plastic could make such a racket i will never know but also now wondering if some sad sack of shit was trying to nick it as took out some clips and the wind did the rest. I had no need to take it out to swap the strut so cant blame myself.

I answer them. It could be something important, like Amazon offering me the James Bond role or Microsoft telling me I've got a virus on my computer. ;)

Reasons 3,000,001 and 3,000,002 why I am moving to pastures new…

…1, I work in a regulated role which means my employer must provide my reference ‘as soon as reasonably practicable’ and should ‘issue a reference within six weeks of being asked’, there is also a provision within the regulations covering the reference that they are not obliged to provide a reference for a current employee. This means they won’t release my reference until after I’ve left therefore I may have to take a period of unpaid leave while the new firm wait to receive the reference to arrive…

…2, I was notified by a client’s daughter of his death three weeks ago, I requested the daughter email me with her details and I would pass it to our admin team to contact her to request a copy of the death certificate and any other necessary information, such as copy of the will etc to verify her status to be able to pass information to her. I was informed today by the admin team that without a copy of the death certificate and will, we can’t discuss matters with the daughter, which then begins a vicious circle… We won’t ask so the daughter doesn’t know what is needed…

Fucking idiots on both regards and the reference thing is a proper slap in the face as I’ve gone out of my way to ensure a smooth transition from me to the next guy so that their clients suffer little impact from my departure…

My total lack of tech knowledge when it comes to computers. I am unimpressed and somewhat fed up!! LOL

AND I've found out that the second hand iPhone I bought is one with loads of issues :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: (like dropping calls and lack of finding network).

FML right now!! LOL (Well, not all of it!! Just the tech stuff!!)

German peppered salami.... lack of.

It's my number one rated sandwich filling and I've been unable to find it for weeks.

It's always been a bit hit and miss in Tesco, but Morrisons always had it, if the fridge was empty, you could get it freshly sliced on the deli counter. It was a no brainer that Lidl would have it.

None of them have had any for at least three weeks now, it's pissing me off.

I've googled it.

There's been cases of Foot and Mouth in German cattle, so the UK government has banned the import of German meats.

Bugger.

I assumed 'German' was just the style of Salami, not that it was actually from Germany.

It's been on the news that it's 5 years since Covid struck. And today my cousin died of it, indirectly :(

After his first jab he took really poorly and nearly died
Was in coma a year.
Then a year awake but on breathing machine. Communicating through eye movement
Next year or so he was able to talk and started to move arms and legs
A year ago he lost lower half of leg
The last year he's been getting better and needing fewer carers
Only 2 days ago he was telling me he's getting a prosthetic leg and maybe pop over here at end of year

And he thanked me for all the leg and pirate jokes and said my bike pics around the island really cheer him up

This morning he was chatty and joking as usual, but his heart suddenly gave in. Apparently damage from the initial illness.

He's been a real inspiration to the family and when I was ill around Xmas, I looked up to him for inspiration

He fought all these years in vain.

Looking forward to his pals taking him to a beer garden. Just simple things.

RIP David, strongest person I've ever known

Not in vain.

In his own personal battle with physical frailties he left a legacy of example and motivation for others. That is way more than most of us will ever lay claim to.

I finally got my MRi results after my fall while snowboarding in January.

I need surgery 😫

Now we have to find out how and when we can make that happen.

He suffered from guillain barre syndrome. Apparently a few thousand others suffered from this after the covid jab.
There's a huge court case and I know he did get big payments to help him financially.
And there'd be a big payment when the court case finalises.
