Have a great weekend everyone - the weather looks cracking. I'm on call so can't go far :(

Washing my bike - that's the only job I have planned

Not a chance, there are piles of salt everywhere. If I went out for an hour I'd spend 2.5hrs cleaning it.

It was glorious and easily 15c here yesterday, but it's tipped it down overnight.

The forecast is good for the weekend, so hopefully the rain has washed some of the salt away.

I remember when my son worked at RAF Topcliff the air ambulance operated from there.
The ambulance crew had a nickname for the first sunny weekend of the year, something
along the lines of 'Bloody Sunday' cannot remember exactly but i have always avoided it
since.

Expect to hear the grunts and groans of year-older middle-aged men attempting to get into leathers they haven't donned since summer last year all over the country.

New style, hump on the front as well as the back?

It's been raining since last night so the salt should have been washed away,I might get out on the Street Triple down some of the back roads around here
At weekends,we try to keep well away from the more popular areas,we're of the opinion that the accident rates go up,especially when riders haven't been out on the bike for a few months..

It's to piss all day today,so hopefully the roads will get a good wash for Saturday and Sunday. If so,I'll be burning fuel on a bike.

I've got next week off and there hasn't been rain for over a week and nothing forecast till at least next Wed :angry-cussingblack: I'm praying for a good solid day of rain for the first time ever!

That was me too. It was 7°overnight and the feckers laid the shit down every night like clockwork, the roads were white. Meanwhile the days were dry and sunny,no rain for about a fortnight. :(

It'll pass though, they do the same thing every damn year.

Maybe, Met Office is guessing 16 degrees, but metcheck are hedging their bets at 11 degrees, so we'll see what's what, Cardo on charge just in case.

Not sunny at all here, but I went out yesterday when the sun did put in occasional appearances.

Been out on the Fazer this morning as it’s been laid up for ages due to front tyre issue and a leak on the bead so won’t hold pressure. Finally got the tyre off, sanded the rim and tyre back on so all sorted.

Lots of the dusty salt on the road but managed a couple of hours hooning about locally, riding like a yob and enough grip to get just about the to the tyre edge.

Not bad for almost 24 year old bike

Image

Got 2 students for Mod1 training tomorrow and also a couple of CBT to take on a road ride in the afternoon so back to riding responsibly

I tend to skip Dec and Jan as the weather is crap and there isn’t a lot of work so I leave it for the full time instructor so he can earn. This year I waited till March as I had a horrendous cough since Dec
