Then I dropped a wheel off for a puncture repair and looked at my car as I walked back to it and I'm not sure I do want to get rid of it now!

Aye and I guess it doesnt make the right noises but realistically it'd be more than enough power for me and economical enough to use as a daily, although I dont use a car each day,

I'm fairly sure I've heard of a system along those lines here. I'll wait and see if he goes for the op or not before I mention anything like that. Sometimes living in pain outweighs the fear. But he'll get to it eventually, although if he leaves it too long it he won't get the choice. So I guess, it's not so much choice as timing

Did the landy tyres last week. Same tyres have been on it from new- so 30 years. They were cracking and one had developed a slow puncture.
Just under a bag for 4 - but if these last the same, I’ll be pleased

Landy has done just over 80k miles.
Last time I bought Land Rover tyres I got 4 complete wheels for £100.
(They were a set of mainly off-road tyres, hardly used, that I thought would be useful in snow and I bought them from a colleague...never fitted them and sold them with the Landy).
