Amazon to gain creative control of James Bond franchise in joint venture deal

Amazon is to gain creative control of the James Bond film franchise after the long-standing producers of the 007 films stepped away as part of a new deal.

Eon Productions, run by Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli - who have produced the franchise since the death of Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli - announced it will be co-owners with Amazon MGM Studios.

The official Bond film franchise has been controlled by members of the Broccoli family, either single-handedly or in partnership with others, since the first 007 movie Dr No in 1962.

There has been increasing speculation about the future of the series, with no announcement of a new actor to play the famous spy since Daniel Craig's final portrayal in 2021's No Time to Die.

In 2022, Amazon acquired MGM, including the rights to distribute James Bond films - and will now have control of the intellectual property rights.

I agree. It's all about the duty being levied on stronger beers. Even good ol' 'wifebeater' is piss-weak now.

Proper Kronenbourg in Fronchland is 5.5% and lovely to drink. Proper mouthful. Over here it's bloody 4.6% and tastes like piss.

A little ironically, the strength of some craft beer annoys me. They some to be in some sort of arms race to make silly strong stuff, I don't want a pint of 9% ABV stuff thanks.

I am often the butt of jokes as I'm ordering a pint of Dalston Dalmatian Brewery's Hazy Amber Grapefruit-Infused 'Look! A Broken Buckle on Christ's Left Sandal' 4.8% Croatian-style IPA Lager Hybrid and they're all drinking Peroni.

We walked to the next campsite and they only had cans of them 9% "Super" lagers.

Our lass was loving hers, till her legs suddenly went. I forgot to warn her

There's a pub in Borough market sells queer beers, some only in half pints such is their strength. My mate was on a session with it, said he felt fine until his legs refused to do what his brain was telling them to do.

My only issue with anything over, say 5.6%, is that generally they taste like paint stripper. Hertog Jan Grand Pilsner is a favourite of mine in the PerfectDraft, but at 5.7% it's my upper limit. Bloody nice, mind.

I was only discussing this with the wife last night, lamenting the loss of Firkin pubs and getting drunk on Dog Bolter from the legs up, which is odd as it only used to be a 5 point something ABV
