Opened two ISAs (one for the wife) and dumped enough in them to buy two Panigales.

Bit late as I suspect the wife is going to have to pay some tax on the interest earned on the bond that just paid out.

Dumped the oil out of the ZX11, pulled the filter, fitted new oil filter (didn't lose the washer, Kaw guys know what I mean). Now going to have a rest before fitting both drain bolts & putting new oil in it. ZX is at the front of the garage so I get to lay in the sun while working on it.
May fit more of the very spiffy shiny stainless M8 nuts on the header clamps as I can get in there with the lower fairings off the bike.
Next up is pulling the gas tank, investigating a fuel leak, swapping out 1 or 2 fuel lines with NOS parts instead of the Mil-Spec hose that I temporarily fitted two years ago & possibly rebuilding the fuel tap (depending on where the intermittent leak is).

Been offered a new job, same type of stuff I’ve always done but more money and employee benefits (pension, holiday, car allowance etc), better company, local office and a ready built client portfolio.

Just awaiting the contract and details. Start date is mid March so need to get any questions answered, references and credit checks done, and resignation letter in. I’ve got a one month’s notice period which is nuts but beneficial in this case, I’m hoping for a few weeks in the garden, especially as I’ve got an exam to revise for!

Ate sarnie, oil filled, fitted 4 of the shiny (copper plated) stainless header clamp nuts (middle lower two can wait until I have the oil cooler loose) Fairings back on & polished. Fuel lines can wait for another day.

Filed manuals according to our new Home Office filing standard. Removed old weather station from garden along with its pole and some of the concrete id set the pole into. Back filled hole and lawn all good now. Mowed lawn and had a bonfire.

Ordered some more loft boards. Prepped a route to finish layer one of new insulation (it's like an challenge in the Crystal Maze getting to some parts ).

Split the insulation rolls into 3 ready to nurdle to the required locations.

Checked the mouse grain bait boxes I put grain sachets in 3 days ago. One was empty, one untouched. No corpses in evidence. Probably gone back to the garage loft to expire. Replaced bait. Added another box in another area.

Don't like using it but checking traps daily in the loft isn't going to happen.

8 rolls of second layer that have been sunbathing in the conservatory for 12 months need to be lugged up there.

Probably get it all done then sell the place and move.

Bit of bike maintenance, fitted new headset bearings in the posh road bike only to discover the ones in the dh bike are goosed too. Looks like the onoff mercurium h/s are now unobtainium so popped the bearings out to measure and ordered a pair for £12, off to Bpw end of the month and busy between now and then so pulled existing bearings apart, cleaned and regressed and they'll do if I don't get chance to change.
Then went out on road bike, my longest/hardest ride since I had a stroke in December and all went well but I did start running out of steam around the 40 mile mark and just cruised the last 5, bit frustrating but I am making progress (just an impatient bastard).

I do my neighbour's garden,as she is bedbound with Parkinsons now,so a double bumper front and rear. It usually takes about an hour for mine and hers is the same size. When it's the first cut,it can be heavy going with damp,thick grass,plus there's always a bit more old plants to tidy up as well.

5 mile bike ride. Doesn't sound much, but haven't ridden for 3 months and 5 weeks ago I was in an ambulance en route to A&E.

Wrist is bloody killing me now despite drugs and wrist brace.
Gonna delay the planned exploratory ride on the GasGas till Sunday.

LOL! Only the facing is part of the original. They sent the granite blocks to a UK quarry before export & sliced several inches off the back of them. Under that it's all modern steel & concrete construction.

Removed ZX11 gas tank, swapped fuel line, installed ZX11 gas tank... Just remembered I forgot to hook up the line to the fuel pump. bugger.
