Thanks Chaps and err, chapesses! I'm sort of okay with it, if you can be, because ive seen how bad dementia can end someone. I'm not sure I can call cancer the lesser of two evils, but it may dispatch her quicker and the less she suffers the better it'll be. Sadly I dont think it'll be a painless affiar either way, but currently, we're not allowed to end the suffering.

Anyway, worse for me is seeing my good Lady suffer with soemthing i cant change or control and thats difficult for me. i'll porbably get a bit angsty as this goes on and i'd not like to channel that on here, so I'll catch up with you all later on. No crashing now, unless you film it!

Fiddle fucked with the F350 tail gate, fixed it. Swapped out the short schraeders on the rear inners for longer ones so it doesn't
take 15 fucking minutes & require extra long needle nose pliers to check the tire pressure.

Replaced a light switch which was starting to fail - crackled when you switched it, lights flickered momentarily.

Spent ages looking in the wiring box trying to work out what was going on. Nearly every wire was brown, except the earths. Unfortunately they were all crammed in there so even getting the switch off meant disturbing a bunch of stuff - one little loose bit of wire fell out too

Anyway, poked around with the multimeter, eventually figured out that a brown wire with a blob of emulsion on it is actually a blue wire, got it all back together and working.

Also figured out that little wire which fell out wasn't needed thankfully. It was unnecessarily joining two 'common' terminals, s'a four gang switch which actually only controls three things.

Gotta love the previous owner, right?

Put myself in the “sin bin”. Apparently using a box file for product manuals doesn’t meet the freshly decorated study’s new filing standard. Mrs M has duly ordered some special folders (which are apparently standard compliant) for us to use which arrived today and after being shown how they work (obvs I needed this as I’m stupid) I said “off you go then” and gestured to the box file. She has now gone to her mothers and I’m going down the pub.

Took the bike out for a check over, sorry no photos, and all seems good.

Lots of comments from the back seat about the chill, too tight gear, wedding gloves... etc etc... one day we'll sort her gear to satisfaction...

Have to say, I'd kinda forgotten what under 10 degrees felt like, need to take of the air-flow seat cover and fit the muffs.

Now just enduring the ITV punditry before the England Ireland game.

I'm mulling over starting radio control racing again. To help me make up my mind I've been virtual racing today. Got my transmitter connected to vrc pro and am pleasantly surprised at how I appear not to have completely lost the skill. It's a fair bit of cash to start again at the local race club. This virtual racing option has only cost £20 for the interface. Watch this space!

Pharmacy side doesn't open until 10. Bugger!

Stop#2: Pick up box of donuts
Success!

Stop #3: Swing by America's Tire & drop off donuts
Success!

Stop #4: Drop by exhaust shop to get an exhaust clamp
Biggest they had was 2.5in, my truck needs 3.625in. Bugger!

Stop #5: Autozone, doesn't have ANY exhaust clamps at all. Bugger!

Stop #6: O'Reillys Autoparts. Had to explain to the counter muppet what an exhaust clamp was. It required an illustration. Only had two sizes 2in & 2.5in. Bugger!

Stop #7: Trader Joes, 3 loaves of sourdough & a 2lb bar of chocolate. Success!

Ate a sarnie.
