Suzuki 0% Finance
On all the bikes with grown up sized engines.
Wonder if Cheesey will finally buy that Katana?
https://bikes.suzuki.co.uk/offers-and-finance/
That's 0% on HP as well as PCP, whenever I've seen 0% before it's usually only on PCP deals.

Re: Suzuki 0% Finance
That's nearly £3000 a year, and that's without depreciation, I bet it would end up costing £6000 a year just in repayments and depreciation.

Re: Suzuki 0% Finance
iDon't the payments cover the depreciation? That's kinda the point?
Still 3k/year for an ugly Suzuki though yeah

Dunno, I assumed it was a straightforward loan for £13K, either way I'm not buying one, they're ugly, though I do wonder if I've turned into one of those old blokes who only like things from when they were young.

Re: Suzuki 0% Finance
The £243.72 was for HP.
If you want PCP it's only £140 a month, but then you need to find 5k if you want to keep it after four years.

Re: Suzuki 0% Finance
My brother has a Z1000SX and I have a GSXS 1000. We swapped bikes late last year and both were shocked how different they are to ride. Other than both being IL4 litre bikes they were chalk and cheese. Luckily we both prefer our our own bikes2xtwins wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:54 pm I like that but I guess it's not a lot different to the Z1000SX, which, despite being very capable, didn't really do it for me...

Yep. I can identify with that. I bought @dern 's Aprilia just over a year ago and, tbh, I knew before I bought it that my sports bike days are over but I was just checkingSupermofo wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 11:04 am ....... I prefer the Suzuki's raw/sporty feeling

It's definitely raw and sporty, lovely to look at, goes well but I am too old and creaky to find it comfortable for any period of time. The 890R has that raw and sporty feeling and I love it...the Trike has neither but, well, it's got something the others haven't - that third wheel gives a it different personality and feel.
But I'm hankering after old-style biking, I think
Whatever the next bike is/will be
All this and I haven't even ridden it yet, but then who wants to ride a bike in this cold and frosty, foggy weather - been there, done that, as have most of us I guess.
Who knows, there may even be a NBD thread in the offing...........

He'll never win novices on an XJR, if you want a muscle bike that actually handles you want a cb1300, or a ZRX.

Nah, this old beast is not renowned for its handling and is not an XJR either @weeksy . A trackday would definitely not be its usual habitat. Indeed I would venture to say I would probably be quicker on the Niken
I do have its dyno printout showing 128bhp and 90lb/ft so not lacking in oomph and, I am hoping, it will prove to be a pleasant companion for rides out.

It was bloody uncomfortable, that’s for sure. I’ve ridden sports bikes that were way more accommodating . Rarely as pretty though.2xtwins wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 9:10 amYep. I can identify with that. Whatever the next bike is/will be......... it will be bigger, heavier, older and may even be my holy grail- a one size fits all bike that I can wobble round in Novices on occasionally but is just as at home out with @Tricky and Mart my other brother on a summer Sunday and maybe even do the odd long weekend away.

I've seen and twisted the throttle on said beast , it picks up lovely and yeah, I reckon he'll have some fun with that- if he ends up sorting a better rear shock, maybe we could whack some stickier tyres on it and do a round or two of the Naked Streebike class races on it too2xtwins wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 9:10 amYep.
